Staffs are very friendly.Nice lobby. Stayed on the 8th floor facing HarbourBay Ferry Terminal. I was shocked to see that the cheapest room i have booked have a great view, nice room and extra long balcony.Really satisfied me. I wonder how is the expensive room would be.This hotel is the best, if i were to compare from 27 hotel that i have stayed in Batam. The Welcoming to hotel was well done by the front desk.very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast at hotel was wonderful too many varieties Very good for single,family and. Business Overall all sections did very well in attending to our needs. Plying around batam I used hotel vehicle which I found very comfortable and punctual.

That they allowed me to teach them how to make poached eggs, which they now serve for breakfast on request. everything about this hotel.... the front desk is well train and polite... the front desk by the name monica really make my stay a pleasure one... thank you. the atmosphere is wonderful.. the staff was very polite..exp the front desk monica. she is very polite and smile through out the check in n out process. The large rooms was the main reason as was the fair price at time of booking.staff were very friendly and would understand our requests. The spacious rooms, freindly staff. Golden Palace staff - Accomodated my request to cook vegetarian food for my mum. :). nice big room...friendly staff.. esp the front desk by the name monica...polite and smile through out... Very good service and nice hotel, Clean and comfortable, in the middle of all things to do in night time. the room is clean ... the staff is very friendly....esp the front desk by the name monica.. 1) The staff are friendly and helpful. 2) Breakfast buffet has a good spread. I wish I could have spent more time there. But will return. Over all is good The staffs is very good. Not noisy and comfort. Grand entrance. Crew very polite and helpful. Foods very good, specially on bar, snacks very good. Hotel has own discoteque which we may consider as best in batam island. All staffs very helpfull and smiling during my vacation. Main lobby quite big and clean also corridor outside the room. Bath room also quite big. Room was spacious. Buffet breakfast was fair. Restaurant staff was fair. Swimming pool was under construction. No free shuttle to shopping mall. WIFI was not available at floors.we can get access only at lobby.should consider upgrading. Breakfast buffet is not really Western friendly as it is Halal friendly. Which is ok, there was cereal, toast & eggs. Try the local cuisine it is quite nice. Hotel taxi service could be cheaper or even provide a shuttle service to shopping areas as it is a fair distance to walk. no wifi in e room. I booked 5 months in advance with my intension to use the pool, pool was out of action for entire trip and came close to leaving for other accommodation for four rooms as a group. Children not covered for breakfast , still need to pay. Poor wifi - cannot connect at times. Hotel concierge arranged for a taxi rental that abandoned us and went off as he had something urgent to do. Although I've requested for non-smoking rooms, the rooms still smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little hot at night though the aircon was on. Not easy to get cab from outside the hotel. Poor Wifi facilities. Should extend Wifi facilities to rooms. Pool was not in service, however this mentioned during booking at reservation. There was some works in progress at pool area which makes to much noise to not let me rest in the room till 10 pm in the evening. Air condition unit was not in operational during my second day and no satisfactorly reply giving by recepcionist about when it start again. Hotel has own taxi stop in front, however prices is higher when comparing with other hotel taxies. Bed room not so clean. 1)room only one arm chair. 2)water flowed out when shower. 3)too little TV programme. The bed linens smelt like they were just pulled out from an old cupboard and they were a bit dusty for me as I have a sensitive nose. Staff were not professional. My check in was delayed coz of their incompetencies. They were unapologetic and rigid. Room service took awfully long as well. As far as i remember ive never been woken up to allow housekeeping to clean up but lo n behold this happened in pacific palace hotel. If u can avoid the hotel there are other hotels tt seem more value for money such as harmony hotel which is also near d buzz in nagoya.
