Opening in July 2011, Hotel Wellamarin is centrally located in Zamárdi, 20 metres from the shore of Lake Balaton. It offers elegant rooms and an indoor and outdoor pool. This 4-star hotel boasts a large spa area with a beautiful indoor pool. Guests can enjoy views of the garden through the large windows. A sauna, an ice cave and massages are offered. All rooms are soundproofed, have free access to wired internet and feature a flat-screen cable TV and a seating area. Guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. Hungarian cuisine and international dishes are served in the restaurant. Meals are also served on the terrace in nice weather. A bowling alley is also on site. Hotel Wellamarin overlooks the beautiful Tihany peninsula and the Tihany Abbey.

Nice, clean rooms with a side lake view, even though we didn't explicity order a lake view. Squash facility was excellent, as was the pool area. The hotel itself is new, on a quiet location and well designed. We'd probably stay here again when on Lake Balaton. Nice clean rooms, wellness, good food, friendly staff. To have a nice, quiet weekend for two, that's good location at winter.
