  We chose to stay at Phidias Piraeus because we needed a hotel close to the port seeing we were taking a ferry at 7:25 am. Well they were wonderful! First, we got there early from our other location and we needed to get our rental car back to downtown Athens. They had no problem in letting us leave our luggage there while we took our car back. 'W - This is an excellent hotel. It has been recently refurbished, so both our room and the public areas were clean and modern. The friendly staff were courteous and very efficient at their jobs. We were welcomed with a small bottle of wine and given advice about local restaurants and shops. The hotel is located in a nice safe part of Piraeus, near the marina, shops and many restaurants. The buffet was very good, especially with the fresh fruit on offer. Like probably many visitors, we only stayed

  This is a fabulous hotel. I stayed there for 3 nights with my daughter, prior to going on to Santorini.   This was a well taken-care of hotel, stylish and the manager was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was spacious considering the small rooms that are usually available in Hydra and had plenty of sunlight and good view of the mountain.   Simply the best hotel that I've ever been. The neighbourhood is quiet, very green and the air is fresh even in the hottest days. It is very close to the train station and also in 10 min by taxi to Marussi, where many companies have offices and this makes the hotel very good for business trips.   Hotel Rastoni was a short easy walk from the Port, and we were immediately welcomed and taken to our room (despite arriving a little earlier than 'check in' time). When the shutters were opened for us, the view was breathtaking!
