  The staff, especially the proprietress, were really helpful friendly and thoughtful. They all spoke good English. We immediately felt at home - among friends. Our room was pleasant, airy and had a view of the sea from its balcony. We made good use of the tiny whitewashed traffic free streets (well apart from the occasional motorbike or mule train) that we accessed from the - Would recommend this hotel. Eva, the hostess is a wonderfully friendly and helpful person. We didn't arrive until midnight, she left us a welcome note and instructions about the key. She went so far as to make us a take-away breakfast when we had to leave to catch the midnight ferry. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is meticulously clean, and the beds are the softest I've experienced in Greece so far. The pool area is as good as any luxury hotel, and the outdoor gardens are lovely.

  The location was absolutely stunning as you would expect if you stay on the Calderra. Right in the heart of Thira. The room which was very clean was also gorgeous and quirky which was brilliant. The owner was extremely helpful and very welcoming. For a small fee he picked us up from the port and took us to the airport.. The hotel was very nice near to the center so we could easily reach our friend's hotel walking. Very nice clean swimming pool and a nice little bar there. The reception staff was very kind and helpfull we hadd all the information we needed. The room was like we saw it in the internet very clean and comfortable.

Also the hotel was ideally situated for out of town excursions. 30 metres to our scooter and the main road out of the tourist hub. Staff were excellent, very helpful and professional. The hotel had many different tucked away patios and seating - Lava Suites & Lounge was the best hotel during my travel alone in Greece. I love everything there. Don't mention the location, amazing view you can see from the room and the terrace, the room facilities and decoration, the welcome wine and fruits. All staff there are nice and very helpful, especially Rigas, he is really professional, arranged a every just perfect.
