If you visit Athens and you are looking for a pleasant stay,go to Polis Grand Hotel!!! - from the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The service was great and very caring. The food throughout was wonderful and fresh - at all the establishments in the Polis Grand. They offerred the freshest and best buffet breakfast we have experienced so far in our European travels. Would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to reccommend it to anyone!

Upon booking, I had requested a non-smoking room on a higher floor. When we checked in, we were given a room on a second floor that was a smoking room where everything was scented with nicotine. It is a fantastic place!!! Great value for your money... the room was huuuuge and comfortable with everything you could need including the fully equipped kitchenette (and the jacuzzi :) )! It's near a huge street where you can pick up a cheap taxi to the center or even take the metro!!!! The staff is amazing, so friendly and very helpful for anything a traveler might need!The breakfast is huge and offers a variety of food even for the picky ones!!!Would definitely stay again when visiting Athen

The hotel was situated very close to the metro with lots of little restaurants and shops scattered around the area. Unfortunately it isn't very close to the beach, however you can take a couple of trains and get there relatively easily in about 40mins. We checked out early purely because we wanted more of an island experience rather than an 'Athens city' one. You will definitely get the feel of what it's like living right in the middle of Athens. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
