  The the location of this hotel was amazing, Located halfway between Checkpoint Charlie and a remaining portion of the wall with a great exhibit. The hotel was new and very clean but I had a few problems which I will give in details on the next section but the hotel staff adjusted my bill to reflect these issues and were very courteous.   The staff and the service were very fine. I saw the gentleman behind the front desk offer to help another guest locate a place to buy some rare auto parts! Very helpful, cordial, friendly, and warm.   Nice folks clean room and marble bathroom,good food (but Hackeschermarkt platz a few feet away, full of indoor/sidewalk food places. Short walk to cathedral (Lutheran) with magnificent music for Sunday services and spectacular Vatican like interior. Oh, the actual fireoplace an - The hotel is located in the very center of the city, however the nearby streets are calm, so at night you can enjoy your rest. It takes just 2 min to reach the S-Bahn station, also you can find here a lot of restaurants and caffee. Every day I took my sandwich on my way to the conference without any time delay. Especially I enjoyed the hotel sitting-room with wonderful fireplace and library - it was awesome! I strongly recommend to stay in Monbijou hotel :)
