  Some of the staff were wonderfully friendly, the breakfast had ample variety, and the location made it easy to get to all of the sights. Some reviewers have noted the less desirable neighborhood between the Hbf and hotel. It is in a very good location, near a Ubahn station, easy walk from the main train station, but yet off of the main street somewhat, so decently quiet, although there is some street noise.   This is our second time staying at the Hotel an der Oper and we chose it again for its excellent location. It is located very near the Hofbrauhaus (and other eating & drinking places such as Augustiner and Hard Rock), which are all very easy to walk to. Also, it is only a 3-5 minute walk to Marienplatz (which is another good location).
