  We were traveling by train so having the main train station 10 minute walk away from the hotel was convenient. Also 10 to 15 minute walk to city center. Staff very helpful. - Excellent value for the money. Excellent location.

  you can walk for the central train station and go anywhere....but you are in downtown and can visit almost everything by foot! nice coffees and markets at the next block. the one room apto is a reversable living/bedroom. Bed is ok, sheets too. Pillows are very thin.... Towels are slightly old... and small.   This is our second time staying at the Hotel an der Oper and we chose it again for its excellent location. It is located very near the Hofbrauhaus (and other eating & drinking places such as Augustiner and Hard Rock), which are all very easy to walk to. Also, it is only a 3-5 minute walk to Marienplatz (which is another good location). Most of the top sights of Munich are right nearby. The same is true of many of the best restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful with reservations, including getting us excellent seats at a very popular performance of Rigoletto, which was right around the corner. They also selected and reserved a perfect restaurant for our first night in the city. Very nice!

  The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The room is clean and well equipped.The nearby S-bahn train station is under construction, so it's better and more convenient to take tram to the hotel. (From the main station you could take no. 16 and 17 which will stop just in front of the hotel. Supermarket nearby, will definitely stay here again! - The apartment was great; clean, beds were comfy and since we stayed in an apartment we didn't have to worry about the cleaning lady coming to bother us. Free Wi-Fi, just called down and got the codes for our boys to use on their ipod and phone. The tram was right across the street which helped so much. And with the hot temps while we were there, the A/C came in handy. We would stay here again.
