  The trip was a last minute plan to attend the cologne carnival..so we chose the place as it was a good price for something last minute and thought it is located a little on the outskirts...but is still not that far from the city center..there is a S bahn stop about 300m-400m from the hotel ..with about a 10 minute ride to the hauptbahnhof or main ... mitä ihmiset sanovat » station...Staff was really friendly and helpful and knew English as well!   This is a dream hotel for weekend with friends - great facilities, wonderful restaurants and bars, superb rooms and service. A perfect combination of old-fashioned style and modern comfort. The hotel has its own parking facilities (there is also plenty of public parking in the surrounding) and a tram station nearby: perfect combination! The breakfast was very nice.   We were staying in xl Art room overlooking the River Rhine. It was well worth the money, as we booked well in advance. Tram stop very close, easy to reach Koelnmesse, shopping area/centre only 15 min. On foot. Room size was great, and clean. Added bonus: coffee maker (tablet). Fare is approx 24-26 Euros to Cologne airport. - Most of the staff were very friendly&helpful. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.
