The hotel is well located and has a great view over the esturary. It is definitely worth upgrading for the bay view. The hotel is clean and the design creates a boutique feel. The rooms and clean and very comfortable and a nice space to relax in. It is a beautiful place with lots to see and do (a steam train for those who are interested!!). Also, you can walk along the front towards the sea and watch the sunset. There is a restaurant overlooking the water which was amazing - cheap, great .

THE environment of bay de somme is fantastic. The view of the Bay de Somme. nice location, good breakfast. Clean and well decorated. Parking isn't too bad but be aware the free parking is about a 10 min walk up a steep pathway. There is nowhere really to park outside to drop off your stuff so you need to be a bit cheeky and pull onto the pavement. The hotel is expensive when considering breakfast was not included. There are plenty of local shops to buy fresh produce so not a problem - just remember to pack a few kitchen essentials. A bath would have been really nice in the room. they can work on there operational service at the breakfast and maby in the restaurant. it's not a bad thing but it's that someting extra you will miss...further there is nothing to say about this nice hotel!!. Strange décor [lots of black!]. Staff surprised when we asked to have breakfast on the terrace even though it was beautiful weather and the bar area was full! Portions very small. Well over-priced for what it offers. Room a little cramped. Bumped head on edge of slooping ceiling to side of window (in roof). Two-way mirror good idea, except low light in bedroom at night means that all in bathroom revealed from bedroom side!. Could have done wit a couple of soft chairs in the room -to look at the view. breakfast was poor value for money and poorly served. Bistro food was rather substantial for our taste,but it was of a high standard. Difficulties of car parking, but unavoidable. no chairs in bedroom. two stalls not comfortable. no parking (public parking not far away). unload outside hotel easy but only one vehicle at a time and space also used for shop opposite in very narrow street. The shower design made it very difficult for water to not flood the bathroom floor. The room next to use had their shower flood and it caused a leak in the roof of the main lobby. Not enough electrical lights in bedroom. Breakfast not up to much. parking, soundproofing. Early closing. We were on a cycling holiday and there was nowhere inside and secure to leave our bikes. We had to lock them outside the hotel. The privé is not in relationele to offerde accomodation. No airco and open Windows let enter high level of street noise. Lack of car parking and lack of information about where to drop off luggage and park. the rooms on the third floor (city-side) are extremely hot! There is no airco, even not a fan or ventilator. So choosing a room on the bay-side are better (but more expensive). Very cramped bedroom with no table or chairs. No tea or coffee making. Clear glass panel between the bedroom and ensuite. Poor value "portion control" breakfast with no cheese or ham. Much better value hotels available in St. Valery.
