  Friendly staff. Excellent newly refurbished room with all facilities working - not always the case in France! Very good, reasonably priced dinner. - Cyclists welcome, secure area to leave bicycles. Of our 4 nights in the area this hotel had the most comfortable bed and super bathroom.

  The breakfast was excellent but you have to pay extra for it (7 euros). It was easy to find and the staff were very helpful...they also spoke English. - Breakfast was great! There were two people out of the staff when we stayed there that spoke great english which was great.   Cherbourg is a quaint historic town. The hotel is on the waterfront with a scenic view. We were able to walk to the hotel from the ferry dock. The staff were very friendly and we stayed in an apartment suite with a kitchen and 3 bedrooms upstairs. Bathroom newly renovated and beautiful. Hotel is conveniently located close to main street where all the restaurants are within walki - This was our second stay at the Hotel Chantereyne and once again we couldn't fault it. The staff are helpful and welcoming and have good knowledge of the area. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spotless. We loved the modern bathroom and the superb shower. Also great location, just 5 minutes from the ferry port and the town. All in all a first class hotel.

  Staff were exceptionally helpful and jolly and welcoming; rooms are functional and nice, super clean and with sleep-promoting black-out blinds. We had the best sleep of our holidays at this hotel. You do need your own transport. We were there by bicycle, which was great. Fortunately after a long day travelling we were pleased to see the hotel restaurant was still open and the staff were friendly.   There was a resturant on site. We booked a family room and it was very adequate for our one night stay, however it would have been very cramped for a longer stay.
