  Great Historic hotel since 1914! Its in the Downtown central Chamonix shopping street! Great mountain view to the French Alps from the 4th floor. Old style large rooms. - The staff were extremely friendly and spoke a little English which helped. Breakfast was basic but served the purpose and everything that was there was good quality.

  The hotel owner was awesome. He took care of our every need, including plugging all my electronics into his personal computer to charge them for me (my us charger had broken). Great breakfast. Our booked family room was not available but he made 2 rooms available to us. Being slightly away from the busy and noisy Chamonix was also a plus. - A warm welcome by a young staff willing to help you.   The Chalet was comfortable and excellent value for money.The staff were very friendly and helpful.One of the main ski lifts was only 200 metres away which also made it very convenient for skiing - Owner was very friendly and helpful, and reastaurant food was lovely. It is just the right size, the dinnign room has lovely views over morzine and you can watch the night skiing on the Pleney side form the window. The location is across the valley from the main slopes but leaving our boots and rented skis at the shop by the lifts meant we could enjoy a pleasant 10 minute walk to warm up before starting skiing.
