  We travel a lot staying in many beautiful places all over the world and La Bonne Auberge has to be one of our absolute favourites! It's totally unique, peaceful and very romantic, like stepping back in time. Our apartment had a small fully equipped kitchen (which we didn't expect) with dishwasher, oven, fridge and microwave.   My friend and I had a comfortable, roomy and clean triple room with private bathroom, quiet at the back of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast with plenty of choice including fresh fruit and scrambled egg and French type bacon. Only about a 10 minute walk to the station for the shuttle bus to Giverny for Monet's garden and a good bar for an evening - Vernon is very close to Giverny (4 kilometers) which is why we chose this hotel. It was quite reasonable for 2 nights at 176 Euro. Basic hotel rooms....no frills but fine and clean. Restaurant good and lounge for drinks for tea very comfortable with leather overstuffed chairs. Staff very helpful. Walking to the village, church, museum and restaurants within minutes. Sweet village.
