Hotel Eber Mars is a small cozy hotel about 25 rooms, only 10 min walk to the foot of the Eiffel Tower and 2 min walk to the nearest metro station. It was completely remodeled in recent years. Our family of 9 (3 rooms), ages 11 thru 78, stayed 3 nights there. It's a bit pricier but then you pay for the location. Upon our arrival on the first night, we were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower that night and enjoy the beautifully lit monument. Beds and bathrooms are comfortable and clean! Monsi.
kaikki arvostelut » The owner of the hotel was spectacular! He was a welcome and smiling face every day, and he was very willing and able to assist with getting around Paris. It is clear he loves his job and his city! The room was a little small, but this is normal for Europe, and it was comfortable and clean. We had a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower, and the hotel location was excellent! We were a block from the Eiffel Tower, close to lots of restaurants, and the Metro was just a few steps away. Overall, an excel. Exactly the type of hotels I like in Paris: simple, not a chain, clean rooms (I stayed in a "Queen" room), well isolated. I read the owner wasn't always the nicest... He is very "couleur locale": deadpan and straight forward. But what else do you expect in Paris? ;o) In any case, he was very helpful to me, with little fuss and straight to the point. I also liked the breakfast style: one big and long table where everyone sits and no buffet. Not much choice but very good and fresh. The whole experience was amazing! We arrived quite late the first night, but the night manager was completely lovely and showed us to our room, and told us to quickly look out the balcony, the Eiffel Tower was almost finished sparkling. When we were leaving we got caught with closed down metro stations, and we're completely lost. We made our way back to the hotel, and the friendly staff gave us new directions. Was an absolute pleasure fhe whole trip!. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room size was good for 2 adults and 2 children. Babybed could be placed inside. Nice old style bathroom fixtures.The location is very good. Walking distance to Eifeltower. Metro station accross the street. Supermarket across the street and restaurants all close by. Really, it was fantastic. The staff is always helpful, especially the proprieter. It's 5 minutes to a really good pedestrian street for dining (rue Cler). It's very close to a metro stop and is a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Eber was the friendliest and funniest man ever. He had the best recommendations on where to eat and what to see for our whirlwind 2 day trip. Very quaint and sweet hotel. Clean and unpretentious. They serve the best coffee!. Mr. Eber owns and runs this hotel. He is extremely helpful and wants to make sure your every need is met. The hotel is immaculate and in a safe, convenient area of the city. We will definitely return. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very central to everything, close to the Metro and within walking distance to a lot of attractions.It also suited our budget. It was inconvenient not being able to eat in the rooms. All food must be consumed in the dining area in the lobby, maybe due to rat or ant issues. Hotel Eber does provide silverware and dinnerware as needed. They even boiled hot water for us to pour into our ramen noodle cups. We were also able to refrigerate some leftovers in their frig. This service does make up for the inconvenience for the most part. Other than this, we really enjoyed the hotel, the location and the staff. The elevator is a single-person lift, so it was a little inconvenient, but the owner said it was being replaced this summer. The hotel brought our luggage to and from our room to alleviate us having to do it, though. The elevator is indeed VERY small. But that was enough for me to take my suitcase up and down. Free wifi would have been a plus. The elevator is very very small, only for one person. no tea or coffee in the bedroom. drainage of the toilet is not flow smoothly. Either 1 Person or 1 suitcase can fit in there. But at least there is an elevator. My only complaint is our wc was so small I could barely fit in there, and I am a fairly small person!. One-person elevator, very cumbersome. Also arranged for a shuttle from the front desk (somewhat pricey); questioned the shuttle's arrival time & was told not a problem to transport to airport; we barely made it in time. Requested wakeup call which never came because phone had no plug. no kettle in room but that is all! and the coffee was great from the kitchen just a late night cuppa...it was not even really a problem. The single person elevator which stops sometimes. The air-conditioning didn't work and the room was too hot. Was difficult to get a good night's sleep. Horrible lift, just one bag or a thin human at a time. No tea or snacks in the room. Costly breakfast. No iron provided. Not sure about Paris standard, but in London we can get a much better hotel at this cost. Rooms not soundproof Could hear water cistern in room 54. The room was told to have view of the Eiffel Tower, but had to juggle to see the tip top of it. Elevator for just one person! Terribly expensive and poor breakfast. Horrible hotel. We will never stay again in this hotel. You are sure to ruin your vacation staying in this hotel. The rooms are small. The list is small and can take one person at a time. For the stay in the hotel the bed linen was never changed.
