Matt and Michael and their staff were excellent hosts. We liked the quiet, countryside setting, the chateau, itself, and the modern and tasteful interior design of the hotel. We had one evening meal which was excellent, and the breakfasts were very good as well. Our room was very comfortable with a nice bathroom - plenty of hot water. The Chateau is off the beaten track but is within an easy drive of Rennes, Fougeres, and very close to St. Malo. Overall a great place to stay if you want to expl.

Hosts were very welcoming and offered to light fires and set up a private room for dinner. Everything! The welcome from the very friendly owners. The fact that they were dog friendly. The fabulous setting, the combination of old with new. The great breakfast. Value for money. All the people we met were so friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the whole hotel was lovely. Beautiful old building in a peaceful location. Very friendly staff/owners. Excellent restaurant - particularly the desserts. It was a modern hotel with a chateau facade. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was more than satisfactory. Very friendly service, beautiful surroundings, plenty of different activities, children and pet friendly. Excellent in every way, so warm, clean and comfortable, with a great welcome from the staff. The surroundings, the castle building, the staff, the food - everything was excellent!. Friendliness and cleanliness. Charming owner, very nice staff and good food. The roof of the building was in very good shape!!. I would have liked better it if their WiFi worked in our room; you had to go to the main lounge or dining room to get any WiFi. Otherwise, no complaints. Little bit put off by the smell of wet dog in reception when we arrived. The weather!!! (It was 0 degrees). Our room was rather small but for one night no problem. Although an old chateau the interior is ultra modern. Tiny bed. Dinner took over 2 hours to serve. Bedroom was small and internet in the room was just OK. The room furnishings are clean but modest. Nothing. A bit hard to find (but maybe this is a positive thing after all....?). A little too quiet. Sadly let down by the cheap and tacky decoration of the rooms and the public areas, the lack of maintenance of both the hotel and grounds spoiled the experience and it appeared as though they had run out of money - a real shame as the location was great. This place would certainly benefit from professional management.
