Set in an 18th-century blacksmith’s shop, this guest house is located in Loire Valley, a 30-minute drive from Amboise. You can enjoy the 2-hectare, landscaped garden surrounding the property, play on the swings or pet the farm animals. La Maréchalerie offers guest rooms and an apartment, all featuring a rustic décor, antique furniture and exposed wooden beams. All the accommodations have a private, furnished terrace and a private bathroom with shower. Homemade jams are served for breakfast every morning in the communal lounge, by the forge that now functions as a fireplace. A fully equipped kitchenette is always available to guests and on weekends dinners with the hosts can be reserved. Other facilities at La Maréchalerie include free Wi-Fi and BBQ facilities. Very comfortable place with charming decor, felt very warm and cosy in unseasonably cold May. Great kitchen and dinning area, great for preparing own food and socialising if you are travelling in a larger group. It also has nice garden for relaxing and unwinding after a busy sightseeing day. Hosts are the greatest asset however: knowledgeable, with a very good sense of humour, extremely helpful - thanks to them we discovered many interesting places not necessarily mentioned in the travel guides.
kaikki arvostelut » This is wonderful and charming place! We really were in the village of France . Clean air, beautiful views. This place near to Chateaux of the Loire, about 20-30 minutes by car. The owners are very hospitable, fine people. We did not expect so warm reception! The breakfast is easy but very tasty. A lot of jams were prepared by the owner Patrisia. Room is clean and comfortable. You can use the kitchen if it was needed for you. Free parking and wi-fi. A great combination of price and quality. We. We both liked everything about our stay! If you are thinking of visiting the Loire Valley, be it for the chateaux or something else, this should be your base camp. Both Patricia and Danny are very welcoming and knowledgable about everything around! If it is your first time in the region, just make the booking and go - when you arrive, Danny will suggest the best routes in the region according to your interests and curiosities! My husband and I enjoyed immensely, recommend fulheartedly, and will. Everything was great from when you arrive with the warmest possible welcome from the host. You immediately feel at home in the comfortable setting and it is like being a guest in a private home. We had a fantastic night with the hosts at one of their hosted dinners, and on other evenings enjoyed the company of other guests around a communal table. If you enjoy genuine hospitality in a rural setting do not miss this. We will definitely be back. By the way Patricia is a four kiss person, two on e. We had a wonderful time. The owners were very helpful. They gave us directions to sites that we would have never seen. The room was spacious and comfortable with nice furniture and a private patio. We had a great time visiting with the other guests from Scotland and Germany. The gardens were the perfect place to unwind and chat with other guests after visiting the many beautiful chateaus in the area. the hosts are so friendly. Everyone meets in the morning for breakfast which is great. A nice touch as the owners make you feel like the really welcome you to their property. quiet and nice rural setting. you investigate the countryside which you probably wouldn't do if you stayed nearer a town. Our hosts were great and the place was charming. They welcomed us with opened arms and helped us planned our day trip around the Loire region. We where there on Saturday night and had the dinner with them. Do not miss it, you will have good food, amazing home made drinks and meet lovely people. We loved the welcome and the expert help in planning our trips to the nearby chateaux. We wanted a country location, not a city hotel and this was perfect - rustic and simple. The communal breakfast allowed us to meet new people and find out about their own adventures. Very cozy place, the owners surely make you feel at home, if you arrive there with no clue what to visit in the area they sit down with you and explain everything you need to know while you can enjoy some local wine. If you are in Loire valley, this is a must stop. Danny was fantastic, we arrived late so he organised for us to eat at the local restaurant and also helped us see as much of the sights as possible. Take him on his recommendations they will not disappoint!!. The place is with incredibly rich atmosphere – you really find yourself in an area of countryside France. The staff is offering superb service and even beyond – you really receive more than expected. The owners are very warm, very welcoming, and very knowledgeable of the area with great recommendations for day trips. Danny and Patricia were charming and helpful hosts. Loved our stay and, in fact, extended it due to its charm. Our host was available for our every need with information, wine, and great conversation. Friendly host. Knowledgable guide to area. Ambience and lovely grounds. Tranquil. Everything was wonderful and the owners were very welcoming and accommodating. Staff very friendly and helpful,place clean and well presented. Breakfast could be more varied, I.e some brioche or croissants would be nice. No problems at all. Wished we had more time to do local walks. I can not complain with anything - it was perfect. The weather, but that's not the Hotel's fault!. Nothing. Nothing. The room needs more light and more outlets to plug in chargers for phones etc. Nothing.
