Nice, calm location in the Chamonix valley, with great views to the surrounding mountains. Bus stop within a few minutes walk to access the whole valley, restaurants within 15, a supermarket within 25 minutes. The room is nice and clean, definitely better than what the one-star rating would suggest. The room was significantly cheaper than in Chamonix, without any serious drawbacks.

Very close to start point on mt blanc.
okay the hotel was very basic but it was clean had everything you needed, it was close to the Prairon chair lift and cheap as chips, for a group of lads or friends it was bang on.
If you come on foot, you must adapt to the bus timetables, and prepare for a 20-30 min ride until Chamonix city locations. The owner lady speaks very basic English with heavy accent, so some patience is necessary to communicate.
