  Some of the staff may not speak fluent English, but were all courteous, friendly and helpful. They even have a first aid kit for us when my wife fell down when we were out and had to nurse her wound back at the hotel. Breakfast was generous. The staff was courteous, well groomed, knowledgeable, patient, professional, friendly, helpful. The hotel is well located for a visitor, nice neighborhood, grocery stores, restaurants, open air markets, banking, laundromats, nearby. The neighbor feels/is safe and it is like being in a familiar community while being in a big city.

  Staff were very attentive, enthusiastic and helpful - and there was always at least a few present, so speaking to someone was always fast and easy. The guest computer and printer in the reception lobby was a nice bonus too (as I urgently needed to print documents for the semi de Paris.   I did not expect much from this hotel when I booked as I just needed a place close to Gare de L'est and Gare du Nord so that would be convenient for me to catch the trains to Strasbourg and Antwerp.   Price/quality great, hotel is just as good as many other 4 star for half of price. Big room and I got a kingsize bed.
