This was the best hotel we have stayed in! The manager was extremely friendly and went out of his way to help us! As soon as you walk into the hotel it feels like home it's well decorated with great art and everyone is so welcoming ! Yu go up a grand staircase and the rooms are delightful, large big cosy bed! En suite with an amazing shower ! Air con, tv and wifi,! Would definitely recommend the breakfast ! Easy free parking ! Would definitely be happy to pay double the price to stay here.
kaikki arvostelut » This hotel has a charm all of its own run by the owner which is refreshing in this age of chain hotels with no personality. Rooms are a bit old world but very clean. We had a problem with the shower in the first room and as soon as I reported it we were moved to an even nicer room (no. 10) immediately. The location is ideal, breakfast a bit expensive for what you get, fresh fruit would be a big plus for me. The hotel is a complete gem located very centrally to the town centre... But without the noise! The patron couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful and also speaks fluent English, useful if you're french is as bad as mine. Secure parking in the shade a real plus. This is a traditional hotel and wouldn't suit those looking for a modern, high tech place to stay. We liked the hotel very much the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel was ideally situated for the centre. It was extremely clean and comfortable and i would thoroughly recommend and have done so to a friend who has rental properties in La Rochelle and sometimes they need one or two nights extra for their clients. A genteel decor and atmosphere was nice. Francios, the 3rd generation owner was very friendly and hospitable. As a consequence we sat up until 1:00 am one evening with both he and some other guests just getting to know each other. A great location in town too. We felt we would enjoy coming back again. Very well located hotel in he centre of La Rochelle .It has a old world charm and staff are very friendly .There is also a car park .. essential in la Rochelle .The room was very spacious. Hotel Trianon is a family run small hotel with a nice personal touch. It is within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and yet was in a quiet part of town. The toilet .. there was hugh bathroom but un typical French style ..a separate toilet at the other side of bedroom and it was very cramped indeed // also considering the number of British guests there were only French TV Channels. Although the room was clean and the bedding lovely the room could have done with decorating and the shower room needed updating. Rooms could do with a freshen up. Breakfast very small and basic for 9.5 Euros. good but few extra pillows would be good but we took our own.. Peopel leaving a disco nearby woke us in the ealry hours. Bedroom facilities were a bit basic. No tea / coffee making facilities were available. Paying for parking, but could have parked free on roadside. Older hotel but still great value. There was a mistake made in the booking between letsbookhotel.com and the hotel. The hotel received notification that we needed a baby crib, not an additional bed for our 9 year old. As a second order of a effect, we were given a small room that could barley sustain the additional bed. One would think that the hotel could of re-located us to a slightly larger room after the first night. Nothing!!!. stairs no lift. Rooms on small side for a family. Hotel rather dated and tired looking. Room was a little tired, but this was more than made up by the location and the remainder of the hotel. Being charged for car parking. Quite pricey - wasn't expecting the parking charges. Variable water temp Expensive but nice breakfast Limited wifi.not in own room No coffee making in room. Nothing. None of it!. The rooms we actually got were a bit tired and didn't reflect the picture shown on letsbookhotel.com so we were a little disappointed - having said that, they were clean and tidy. Very dated decor and owners smoking permeates through the hotel. Paying for parking. Breakfast very minimal for price paid. Asked for friut yoghurt rather than plain and was told to mix my fruit jam in with it. Room was quite small and bathroom just adequate. Felt as though we were being watched all the time. Limited car parking on site (payable) and , if used , car gets covered in tree debris etc. Due to festivities one of the main roads to the hotel was closed to traffic, Tom-Tom could give no other directions. Eventually got the stewards on the barrier to let us through driving slowly. The hotel was billed at euro96, but then continental breakfast only at euro 10 each(One of us was gluton free so almost no breakfast) and parking euro 10 was a rip off. Ie Euro 126 We could have stayed 4star for this with a choice of breakfast and parking included. Pity really because other than that we had a great weekend and money is not the problem but sharp practice is!!. Room was basic. No shower curtain. Bidet in a separate room from toilet! No kettle or other tea/coffee making facilities. No fridge. Price. We didn't know there was air con, they didn't deem it necessary to tell us. We had the windows open on a noisy road because the temperature was near 40c.
