After reading some of the comments I was prepared to be a little disappointed with the way the place looked, but that couldn't have been further from the truth! It is beautifully decorated if a little old (no bad thing). Our host, Morgan, was so friendly and really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are huge and gorgeous. The breakfast is incredible (croissants, baguette, toast, home-made jams, home-made panna cotta, freshly squeezed orange juice, hot drink) and is included in .
kaikki arvostelut » The room was spacious and furnished with lovely old furniture. The hotel is in a large old town house with a charming garden at the rear where guests are free to sit and relax. The breakfast was excellent, served in the room with fresh orange juice, home-made jam and panna cotta. The manager was warn and friendly and very helpful providing maps of the town, tourist guides and advice on where to go, where to eat (avoiding tourist traps) and what to see. Honfleur is a beautiful old town and well . We had the most delightfull stay in this superb villa,with a beautiful garden, a house decoreted with style and good taste, excellent location and view over the Normadie Bridge. On top of all a special mention for the owners and in particular Morgan a charmfull person who made as feel like at home with this lovely breakfast served in the garden and who gave us some nice advises about places to visit and nice restaurants. Morgane we will come back very soon !. The views from our large, high ceiling room were great - could see to the harbour and to the Pont de Normandie. Our host was very helpful and friendly and went out of his way to give us an early Sunday morning breakfast which was DELICIOUS! There was safe inside storage for our bicycles. Would definitely return. The walk into town was only about 5-7 mintues. Beautiful big rooms with a dining area and lounge chairs. Awesome breakfast (fresh oj, croissants, baguettes & tea/coffee). The owners were lovely and we managed to communicate despite our non-existent French and their very limited English. Location away from the main hub but within easy walking distance(5mins). He spoke limited English, but was patient with our attempts to communicate. The breakfast was served in our rooms on a tray - delicious! A perfect French breakfast!. Very friendly host, nothing too much trouble. Very clean, great power shower, clean towels each day. Superb breakfast, home made pannacotta and jams, even offered cheese and ham to replace some of the pastries. Morgan, the proprietor, welcomed us (without being asked) with a town map, restaurant guide (with excellent personal recommendations), and a good intro to his facilities. Excellent breakfast. Proprietor exceptionally helpful in recommending and booking excellent restaurants. Room very warm and comfortable. Payment in cash on leaving please note. Large spacious rooms with antiques, beautiful garden, lovely breakfast with homemade jam and pannacotta served in the garden. Friendly young hosts. We'd liked the breakfast with italian touch and the view on the Seine and See and had a wonderful time ad Au Tour de La Rose. The owner was great. We had a large room and our best breakfast in France there. It's a good value for over priced Honfleur. my review would be word for word as per katherine palaiseau france derek jean appleton. Lovely village concentrated around harbor (with yachts), many restaurants and shops. Nice,clean rooms and beautiful view. Rooms were large and comfortable. Good location close to the town. We had a nice big old room with lovely views over the harbour. A delicious breakfast was included - the best during our holiday. The hosts were very friendly. The room was large.the view was nice. The host tried his best to please us. Would not recommend for those who have trouble with stairs. This is a very old building so it really can't be made wheelchair accessible. Road works outside the hotel made parking difficult and dusty but I am sure these are only temporary. Only complaint was that our room didn't have a shower - it was a bath with the extendible hose option. Being pregnant I found this difficult. Nothing. Bit noisy from the road if the windows were open. The parking is an issue as it is parking in a space on the roadway outside of the property and can be difficult if you arrive early. Parking in street- busy on saturdays but free. It's a dark walk back late at night. the rain. Proprieter struggled balancing service to us with his family commitments. initial impression from the road on arrival, access to the building and staircase to first floor landing and reception area. On street parking only. Hotel on the road side with traffic noise during the night with windows needing to be open during the hot weather. The place was somewhat run down and no place to mingle with other quests. The breakfast was not available until 8:30.bathrooms were not convenient.
