We enjoyed our time (9 days) at Vieja Mansion. The atmosphere was welcoming. It was so comfortable that we felt is was our home away from home. Being in the heart of historic Cuenca was a great location. We did not want to be in a "chain" hotel (like Holiday Inn) because they have no character. Also, the restaurant California Kitchen within the hotel was really a plus. The staff always cheerfully provided whatever we needed, such as, laundry service at a very reasonable cost.
