spacious rooms, contemporary interior, modern bathroom, separated buildings (we booked the bungalows, but there are also rooms in the major building), direct access to hiking trails (the trail to "Prebischtor" and "Edmundsklamm" start directly at the doorstep), quiet location in the forest, heater worked very well (it was quite cold already after dark). The place, the location (on a crossroad for hikers), the staff (very friendly and non stoppable - special reference to the restaurant staff), and all the environment around deserves the visit, and more than that, deserves to stay on this place. New facilities, comfortable and a good breakfast are a plus++.
kaikki arvostelut » Very good base to visit many places in the mountains and to visit castles, Dresden, make an active sports. Full recommendation. Better than Hrensko - center, where are only Vietnam-bazares. I not recommend to stay in Hrensko-center. Few kilometers from this "U Forta" you can feel very comfortable!. U Forta is situated right in the centre of many of the walking trails and therefore is a great place to stay if you want to spend a few days amidst the trees and hills. It is a good change from Prague. Very nice place in a very nice area with beautiful woods and hiking routes. Restaurant is also nice - the choice is not too big, but the quality is good, and the price is surprisingly small. Good and quit location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, parking. If you search this hotel with iGO - the city is Mezna Louka, not Hrensko :). Breakfast rather extensive - enough for a day's walking. Bungalow a little cool at first, but then too warm! Staff extemely helpful and friendly. After some misunderstanding with the booking everything was sorted out in a friendly and constructive manner. Good food and fantastic area. Gorgeous surroundings, great place to relax. Great bungalows, very good rooms. Radio in the bathroom - nice =). Friendly staff - we arrived (3 hours) late to the reception but were waited upon. Very nice rooms. Loved the location. Food was great and affordable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to general routes to the local sightseens. Everything about U Forta was excellent. Ideal location for walking or hiking in the Saxon/Bohemian Switzerland National Park on both sides of the border (the reason for our stay) Good and reasonably priced restaurant with local dishes. Rooms are new and clean very beautifull nature Restaurant emplyees are very friendly. Rooms are spacious, modern and warm. Quite location, great for hiking. Very friendly staff. Good coffee for breakfast. New facility. breakfast could be improved regarding choice and presentation (but it was still ok), no lighting on the footpaths to the bungalows after dark (although there were lamps, but they were never switched on). If you are looking for gourmet-style food, you will have a difficult time in the whole area. It is more about plain cooking than gourmet in this area (but still the hotel restaurant is above Hrensko average). It would be great if the frequency of local buses were increase a little. WiFi wasn't stable. Though it's a good reason to stay offline for a bit and enjoy beauty of the real world. NO soap in the bathroom - shame.. Bar and restaurant close very early (9pm) - with long walks you feel rushed to get back on time. check-in till only 19:00 - impossible to make it on time from e.g. Berlin after work. The toilet wouldn't stop running our first night here. We complained and the manager explained that since it was the weekend, no one could fix it. He showed us how to turn the main water valve off. We had no toilet. Then the next morning we couldn't turn the water valve back on. It was stuck. We had no water to shower. Also the wi-fi was rather slow. Did not expect so hot weather, room is right under the roof, and no airconditione. So it was incredibly hot inside the room. When windows open, plenty insects attracted by light. Would like to have small night light at each bed. The Czech's idea of customer service is distinctly lacking ! Weekend staff in restaurant particularly curt to us English although we do speak fluent German. We booked boongalo for me and my husband. While check-in we were informed that boongalo is occupied already by some people and we have to take standard double-room which is " the same as boongalo". In reality this standard double toom was as tiny room of about 5-6 square meters under the roof. We were very disappointed as expected to live in much more comfortable boongalo. Staff is rude and too forward. They need to value every customer even in low season. Very few options for dinner. Rooms very exposed - no privacy. Stark furniture. Internet did not work. Very late breakfast starting at 08.30.
