We planned to stay 2 nights at the West Lake in Hangzhou, but after the first afternoon in the hostel and the tea-hills around we booked an additional 2 nights. We had a 'twin' room which was really 2 queen beds in a spacious room on the first floor (2nd in China). It was at the side of the road, but we had no problems sleeping at all. It was a bit chilly already at night, but the aircon's heating function worked properly. The rooms arent really what make this hostel great... the seating area d.

Absolutely no communication barrier. - Atmosphere of friendship and hospitality weaving the hostel. The hostel lounge is a very nice place to spent the evening chatting with other guests and staff. - You can always order some food both western and Chinese. The cook is very skilful, and You'll get the dishes quickly. - Bikes for rent are available at the hotel. - The rooms are small but cosy. The staff spoke very good English and were very nice, helpful and sociable. They shared snacks with us! They offered information about activities to do in Hangzhou. This was the only place in our whole trip (Beijing, Datong, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Guilin and Yangshuo) where we could do the laundry for free. Wifi worked perfectly in the lobby and room. This is a very pretty hostel, just a 10-15 minute walk away from West Lake (and this is down one straight road so you can't get lost!) with friendly, helpful staff who speak excellent English. The price for the room, considering the location, was fantastic. We loved Hangzhou and plan to go back and would definitely go back to this hostel. I stayed at the hotel for two days. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Really took the extra mile to help us. When we failed to get a taxi to the airport as we planned our timing wrongly, the owner even sent us to the airport with very minimum fees. It is easy to travel to other parts of the city by bus from this hotel. I love this location and the Hotel. The staff members are very friendly and caring. Make sure that You have a map with its precise location. The hostel is located on the very Hupao road (big road, its beginning is close to West Lake), but on the road itself there is no clear sign. The hostel is on the right side of the road just before the T-cross of Hupao road and Manjuelong road. The beds were extremely hard and couldn't sleep. The bathroom didn't have a separate compartment for the shower and the floor got flooded after every shower. The toilet bowl was uncomfortable because the rounded lid was smaller than the ceramic toilet (it didn't cover it all). Our only complaint was that we stayed there during a very cold spell and the heater in our room didn't work. We told the staff but they simply brought us another blanket. We would've preferred to be moved to another room where the heating worked. The bed in our room is a bit too high. A bit inconvenient. none ！. Being reminded several times to leave positive feedback, which I would have done anyway!. If you are a party animal and came to Hangzhou only for clubs and not for the lakeside views, this hostel might be a bit far from the downtown for you. One of the bed was a bit hard…We booked a room for 3 people. Don't accept credit cards. Breakfast could be better. The sheet was a little bit damp.
