The Downtown Home Inn is in a fabulous location; just steps to the great dining and small clubs of the Village, only 5 minutes walk to Wellesley underground and to at least two different streetcar routes, as well as easy walking distance to Dundas Square and the downtown area. The Downtown Home B&B has a lovely relaxed friendly vibe with beautifully designed rooms and common space. The company at our self serve breakfast was fun. Upon my booking confirmation I received a very detailed email with many suggestions and links for how to travel around the city, where to visit, where to eat... This was extremely helpful since this was our first trip to Toronto (we stayed in another part of town first, but found this info helpful fo. I enjoyed my stay in Downtown home inn. I stayed in Toronto for a conference which was held in downtown and it was a very nice and short walk from the hotel. Excellent location and a very quite place. My room had a stunning terrace, where I could have a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Hotel manager James is very friendly and helpful, he even had an european adaptor for my laptop charger. Would definitely come here again and recommend to other visitors. Clean, comfortable, generally well organised, good location. Relaxed atmosphere. Communal lounge and large kitchen/dining. Basic cooking equipment with good non-stick frying pan and saucepan to cook your own hot breakfast. Longo's supermarket 5 min walk near Bloor & Church for supplies. Good directions by email for public transport from airport to B&B saves expensive taxi fare. We loved the location of Downtown Home B&B. We had the tulip room for two nights. This B&B is close to two Starbucks and about a 15 minute walk to the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). We also visited the U of Toronto campus too in the area. We walked to a great hight end restaurant, called Blu. Great live soft rock/jazz piano player and very good Chilean sea bass. My experience at Downtown Home Inn B&B was great! The location was amazing for our trip. We were visiting Toronto Gay Pride and it was a great location! The staff was friendly and not over bearing. Other guests were great to get along with and just a great experience all together. I would recommend to anyone traveling as a couple. We stayed in the apartment and it was great. The Downtown Home Inn had easy access to food, shopping, etc. It's also a 2 or 3 mile walk from everything (or a short cab ride). We really enjoyed the facilities and would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Toronto for either a short or long stay. For American/Canedian standards: very very good breakfast! Nice bedroom, clean bathroom, good location and very good value for money. Very cosy atmosphere and you can take a drink out of the fridge anytime :) I would definitely recommend this B&B!. It was a great place to stay, location was central the rooms were nice, the food was good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful with everything. I would recomend it to anyone who goes to Toronto. The location is good, near by the metro station. Breakfast were prepared every morning, and the bathroom have been cleaning up everyday. I will give this b&b a recommendation. Staff is friendly and helpful, but he isn't always there. Location is only 5 min walking from metro Wellesley. There are many restaurants and bars close to this hotel. didn t know it was in a gay village no problem but i find out at my arrival. Nothing. I like it all. Only one night at this location. I wish we could have used it to it's fullest. 1. Door entry code was changed but I wasn't notified so found myself locked out in middle of the night. Always keep the managers phone number with you as there's no staff overnight. 2. Some breakfast items advertised as 'premium' are standard supermarket quality (such as muffins). We only got one room key for the two of us. I was awake when the first guest got up, but this is a minor comment. WiFi signal was a little week in my room and droped out but appart from that there were no other problems. nothing. - internet wasnt always working perfectly. Towels were mildewy, upstairs bathroom mildewy*. Hella stairs to climb with a lot of luggage. (*Please note that I am allergic to all forms of mildew and mold so I am particularly sensitive). Parking a beast. There was a mix-up with my reservation at one point, but after some back-and- forth, the management resolved it, so no complaints really. nothing. I would really like to go back there. Got locked out for 90 minutes in the cold the first night due to a miscommunication and no one responded at the phone number or with loud banging at the door. Very angry at the time, but believe it was just a fluke. Some wifi issues, but those were probably the provider's fault. After three nights, I would definitely return. We did not dislike anything about this place!. Can't think of anything. There isn't anything which wouldn't make us book again. The room was a little small and didn't have a lot of natural light which made it difficult to do work. the very STRONG scent of the sheets and pillowcases!!! I had to remove the pillowcase from the pillow in order to sleep.... Not a big problem once we walked around and found suitable overnight parking. The computer provided for the guests for internet access is very old, and too slow for most use. Noise outside the Acacia bedroom window. Having to change rooms. We stayed in the suite, and I would have liked a better mirror by the plug in, or a plug in by the good mirror. Also, more towels!. The bed was too soft for my size. Breakfast. I really don't have anything to complain about but if I had to nit pick I would say only having one bathroom for several rooms. Bathroom shared. no bathroom on our floor. There is only one bath room in the 2nd and 3rd floor, sometimes you have to wait for others. They don't have elevator so you will be tire if you have heavy luggage. They have only 1 toilet in each floor, but it is clean. The noise isolation isn't good, you could here foot step and people talking in the corridor. the absence of the owner. Poor breakfast. Linens stinked. Pillows were old and hard. Room is very small. Bathroom shared between 3 or 4 rooms, therefore should have had toilet seat covers as a public one. Internet connection was weak.
