Very friendly staff. We asked for a quiet room and we got it. Bed was really comfortable and the room clean and cosy. We had a lovely river view on the second floor. Enjoyed having a drink in the pub and listened to the quiz night. Breakfast was exceptional as it was made to order and the coffee kept coming. We enjoyed everything about our stay and would recommend it to friends passing through the area.

Warm welcome, friendly staff, comfortable room with all amenities. Good food at reasonable prices. Excellent beer at the bar. Relaxed atmosphere. The staff was amazingly nice and informative. The bed was super comfy and even though it was cold the view was beautiful!!. I had a beautiful, non cookie cutter room overlooking the water. It was lovely. Big, clean room the on-site Pub and Restaurant (the almost only one in town). Centrally located and very accommodating to its' guests. Very relaxed atmosphere. Restaurant, cute shops, nice place to relax downstairs for coffee and very comfy bed and pillows. the dining was just great. - The room was recently redone - Breakfast was included - They could advise us on eating locations. Food was good, especially breakfast; location on the water. Although this was perfect for us a family with kids would not be impressed with the amenities and décor. It wasn't an easy task to haul our suitcase up the stairs but they did offer help and we chose to do it on our own so we can't really complain. When we went in to our room it was freezing:( The bathroom floor was very cold on the bare feet, we were showering and heading out quickly. Just an idea when expecting guests on a cold day maybe turn the heat up to a comfortablr temp. :). I could only stay one night. Climbing up the stairs with the luggage The only three choices of breakfast. Nothing in particular. No fan in bathroom. Need extra surface to place luggage. Carpets were dirtyish and curled up on edge making a trip hazard. Eavestrough outside rm 123 was not working and had gushing rain all night ( granted there was a lot of water). Curtains didn't close completely without gap. room was a little dusty and a bit cold and hard to adjust. Too pricy. - The plumbing hanging over the bed from the ceiling - The definitely canned beans with breakfast, not home made - The lack of privacy, we could hear everything through the walls all night long. Inn is run down; carpeting in rooms is dirty; cobwebs in corners of ceilings; 60s era washrooms; cracks in entrance doors large enough to feel a draft/see light; attitude of all staff/waiters we encountered was mediocre, at best.
