Alex, the manager of the dining area, runs a delightful place to eat! The quality of food - Port Royal is a fantastic hotel located in the heart of basse-ville (lower town). Our room 105 had original stones and wood beams dating from 1700´s. BEd is very comfortable, room decór is sooting and chic (shantung curtains, ceiling painted in grey-brown). Bedroom has a built in kithchenette very convenient. Hotel bar is really cool too. I would totally recommend future guests to head to local Quebec boulangerie named Paillard centrally located in Rue St Jean in Haute-ville (5min walt). Their

  I was expecting a two star hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe in relation to its luxury neighbouring hotel it is a 2 star but in my experience this hotel would be at least a 3 star. It's over 180 years old but you would never know it based on how immaculately clean it is. Last, the staff were wonderful and the service was amazing; it is so refre - My flight was delayed and I arrived very late and the hotel staff was kind enough to stay up and wait for me to arrive, then carried my 38 lb bag up three flights of stairs to my room. The following day after I checked out the staff allowed me to leave my bags at the hotel while I shopped and had lunch, then called a cab to take me to the cruise port. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful and I enjoyed my stay and hope to return for another stay in the future.

  We absolutely loved this place! The location can't be beat...one minute walk to all tourist sites but far enough off the main square to avoid being kept up at night with noise. The room was very cute..2 separate sleeping areas and a beautiful view of the neighboring park and St. Lawrence River. The room was immaculately clean as well. You can open your window which I like. It is quiet and clean, although nothing fancy.

  The location of this charming, boutique hotel is excellent. On a quiet street, but steps away from the Frontenac and promenade. We enjoyed several waterfront picnics in the Jardin immediately across the street. The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. I have visited Quebec City many times and this was definitely the best location that I have stayed. It is a short stroll from a quiet and relaxing room to the many sites, shopping and incredible tastes that can only be found in Quebec City.   Annabel was super nice and friendly and very helpful. She has a delightful personality and looked after any question or request quickly and with a smile. ( even though I arrived travel weary and a bit cranky) The hotel was perfectly situated and had a very charming decor that put you in the mood for a French holiday.
