  Fantastic hotel and close to Copacabana beach and other attractions. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly too. Breakfast was really good too and the room was nice and the bathroom was great also. Nice pool at the top of the hotel too and view. - It was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Minibar wasn't a rip off unlike many other hotels we'ver stayed in.I Would stay there again.

  Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400. Staff at reception was efficient and spoke good english, cleaning was very good and the breakfast was delicious.   This hotel was better than what we expected after reading comments from travellers posted on the web. Our room (number 404) was refurbished recently; the sea view was gorgeous; the breakfast very good.   We stayed here for a week and we had a wonderful time. The hotel looks old but our room was nice and clean. You should know that most of the hotels in Rio are old .the staff were friendly and helpful. But the best part is the location , it's in one of the best part of rio which leblon shops and restaurant are in walking distance. Impanema Beach is a much prettier beach & we were never concerned about safety.
