Its location is very good for the best beach and safety in Rio area. The staff is so nice that you don't have to worry about anything though they cannot speak good English. The rooms were very small, basic but had everything I need. It was clean. The saff were helpfull and kind all time. The hotel is near copacbana beach and very close to public transportation including metro. The breakfast was very good and delicious. This is a 4 star hotel. Do not expect luxry. I recommend this hotel anyone who has limited budget but looks for the best possible options and values

The reception staff spoke English and were very helpul in advising and assisting with tours, bookings of taxis and general advice. The room staff were very efficient and the restaurant was great with both breakfasts, and al a carte meals for dinner. The location, one street back from the beach at Copacobana was excellent.

There are several things I loved about Scorial Rio Hotel:
1. The rooms were very very comfortable with the most up to date technology, beautiful bathrooms, and most importantly, very clean.
2. The Flamengo area is a great in Rio de Janeiro to stay, where you can stay at a great hotel, but not pay the price as you would in Copacabana or Ipanema. Restaurants in the area are great and its a safe area. There is also lots of shopping that can be done in Flamengo.
