  Ok, this is not a five-star hotel, but they don't charge a five-star price either. My opinion is, you get exactly what you pay for. It's in Lapa, this means it probably used to be in a slum. Stuff are very helpful, they do speak English (I was prepared to resort to - Good location in Lapa, not far away from the Arcos da Lapa or Cinelandia station. A rather tidy room.   The staff bent over backwards to help me with my extremely poor Portuguese. Location perfect as the Metro Catete is only 3/4 of a block, beach 10-15 min, lots of shopping. - Excellent location, allows for great mobility.

  This hotel has a very good location (quiet, safe, close to Flamengo Park and Beach). Very kind and helpfull staff (we asked in spanisch, they answered in portuguese or english - was a nice mixture), but we got all information we needed.
