We went for Carnaval, it was the perfect location for transportation links or walking to the many parties.   We spent three nights at the R&C Santa Teresa and were very happy with our choice for romantic vacation. The room was very nice and very clean. The design of hotel is awesome. The staff is very friendly and this is valid for everybody (security, front desk, waiters, room service etc). I enjoyed spending time at the bar, restaurant and spa - perfect for a day of indulgence!

The Swimingpool area in the 39th floor has a wonderful view of Copacabana, and Sugar loaf! (Request a high floor for best views). There is even a view of the mountains from the bathroom! Windows open so you can hear the ocean all night long... Very clean, quiet, double sinks in bathroom - marble and hardwood floors. Staff is excellent, friendly and almost all speak English.
