  The hotel is beautiful. It is great to stay in a place that belonged to a famous artist - Samuel Coucke - and was restored with such love and care. You should definately ask about the history of this house - it is very interesting. The right place to stay in Brugge to fill the air of the city. There are 2 partkings near to the hotel ('T Zand parking cost less than 9 Euro per day - a very reasonable price in - The room was very large and lovely with a four poster bed and living room area. The bathroom was large and very up-to-date with an amazing stained glass window that had been made long ago at this very house. Staff/owner was very friendly and helpful. The fresh breakfast was wonderful and all this was within a 10 minute walk to the main plaza. We wish we had booked more than one night and plan to go back the next time we're in Europe.

  It was definitely the best hotel we've ever been to. It has only two rooms and we stayed in the one with the huge balcony. The view from the city is magnificent.   The 1669 is basically excellent. Rooms were spacious, with a large comfortable beds, and the bathrooms were large and well equipped. Breakfast was superb, all the produce was organic. Location was great overlooking the cathedral, and only 5-10 minutes walk to anywhere central.   The location was very close to city activities and sites. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was typically European, however the hosts were willing to make eggs or omlettes.   We have a perfect stay in this B&B. It is a private house in the centre of Brugge but on a quiet street. The rooms are large, clean, warm and have all necessary equipment. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is very good as well. There is a nice pond in the yard with fish and turtle.
