  The rooms are exceptionnally large and clean, with nice furniture. The hotel is quiet, though located absolutely nearby the center of the city (8 to 10 minutes from downtown). The restaurant of the hotel, though we didn't have the chance to test it apart of breakfast, is excellent.   The appartment we had was Antonia. It was a very elegant suite-like appartment with many lovely details. It is situated in the most famous street of Salzburg and yet it was amazingly quiet.   We had a lovely large triple room, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, warm and comfy, lovely large bathroom, great breakfast, within easy walking distance of the centre of Salzburg and 2 minutes to the train station, unassuming and friendly multi-lingual staff, fast checkout. Comfort, amenities, location, and most of all, staff, were superb. we would recommend this unhesitatingly and enthusiastically to anyone. On the day of our departure, the elevator was briefly out of order and the staff carried our very heavy bags down six flights on their own initiative. - It's the second time we stay at the elefant and i don't see any reason to look for another hotel in Salzburg anytime soon.Excellent location,big beautiful rooms,very good restaurant and the nicest front desk staff i've ever met (IRIS rules!!!)
