This heritage-listed Victorian mansion is set on lovely, landscaped gardens and offers free Wi-Fi, an outdoor dining area and BBQ facilities. It features top floor rooms offering glimpses of Sydney Harbour and Sydney's city skyline. Renovated in 2012, Admiral Collingwood Lodge is located in the quiet inner Sydney suburb of Drummoyne, with several restaurants within 5 minutes' walk. The lodge offers bright, modern decor and includes tasteful artworks in the hallways and rooms. There is a large high-definition LED TV, hot/cold water sink and tea/coffee making facilities in every room. Guest have access to a dining room and shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. There is free on-street parking directly in front of the lodge. You can also hire a bicycle on site. It is 15 minutes' by car or bus to the city centre, Sydney Town Hall and the historic QVB Shopping Centre. It is a scenic 15-minute ferry ride to Darling Harbour and Sydney's central business district.

Me and my partner are doing 6 months Oz followed by 6 months NZ. We're on a budget, but not a backpackers budget, and having done extensive research into Sydney's accommodation options the Admiral Collingwood Lodge seemed like our best bet. Not a hostel (which aren't cheap in Sydney anyway) and not an overly priced hotel (of which there are plenty in this city) This place has proved to be a great find - comfortable, very homely and welcoming, and extremely clean. We were here in May, just in ti.
kaikki arvostelut » This was a stunning and pleasant surprise for a last minute booking. Rob and his wife were worldly yet extremely gracious - there was not a hint of burnout (standard with homeowner hosts) or any sense that my requests/questions or presence were burdensome or tiring. They clearly have high standards and take immense pride in what they offer; the place is immaculate in terms of cleanliness and presentation; there is absolutely no grime or grottiness anywhere within the building or its grounds; fl. It was my first experience staying in an accommodation without en suite bathrooms. I must say it wasn't as inconvenient as I expected, perhaps because it was off peak season and the lodge was not fully occupied. The bus stops were 5 minutes walk from the lodge so travel to the city was very convenient, especially with the Post Office selling the prepaid bus tickets located just beside the bus stop. All the buses at the bus stop head toward the city. The lodge was in a very safe and peaceful . This is an amazing stay at this hotel in Sydney..all my family including my wife, my daughter and my parents, they are all so impressive with the professional services that the boss, Rob and his wife brought to us..rooms and shared bathroom are extremely clean, has well collocation shared kitchen room, you will have chance to meet and discuss with the nice persons who from different parts of this world..the most important thing is convince my daughter understand how important to learn the Engli. The location was just right. Ten minutes to the ferry and 15 to Circular Quay, or two minutes to Drummoyne shops and main bus route to town (15 min also). Thus, a sense of peace and escape while being close to CBD. Bathrooms, while shared, were spotless, roomy and plentiful. Never had to wait. Best of all is the serene and historic ambiance and Rob's helpfulness and sense of humour. We returned to Sydney after a long weekend away and had no hesitation in rebooking for another pleasant few d. As we are not city people we wanted a place that was laid back and comfortable with easy access to the city and other attractions. We found the Admiral Collingwood exactly that with the ferry a couple of minutes walk and the Drummoyne township very friendly and accommodating with a great selection of restaurants, Everything was clean and the staff were so hospitable always there to answer any queries we may have had. We definitely will be visiting again!. What a wonderfull stay! Rob, the owner of the house, is truly dedicated and enjoying his work. Always in for a Good laugh. Helps you with everything and is really interested in his guests. Liked the house and kitchen being (super duper) clean, liked free coffee in the morning and thnx for borrowing me the hairdryer (twice)! Would love to stay here again some other day! Remco & Marije. The stay at the Admiral Collingwood, which belongs to the colonial era was extremely comfortable. The room is quite spacious and cleanliness is of a very high standard. The property on the whole is tastefully laid out, expresses a lot of character, and attention has been given to every minor detail. The complimentary breakfast was most welcome. Decent space for a single room The bed was a good one! Really comfortable. I arrived at 11pm and the Staff managed to arrange my access and staying. That extra effort showed they care. Small things like the front yard flora, the pleasant fragrance in the toilet room.... all made this place lovely and special. owners are super friendly and even provide breakfast and delicious home made cookies, sitting in the garden gives you a feeling of being far away from the big city, downtown is easy to reach by bus or ferry within 15 minutes, shared bathrooms were absolutely no problem, there were always some empty. The location, style and quietness of the property. Friendly and comfortable and homely atmosphere. Nice and clean rooms and bathroom. Ease of access to local Cafes, shops and restaurants and City. Very pleasant and comfortable, would stay there again and recommend it to my friends. The city view room is a very nice room with a good view of the city and very Victorian/old style. The city is around 15-20 minutes away by bus and around the same by ferry. The frequency of the ferry is only around 30 minutes and it take 10 minutes walk to the ferry terminal. I liked building style, Interior decor of enterence and all shared areas. As well the room lay outs were spacious as well ess comfortable. Great internal fixtures in room. Centrally located to shops and restraints/cafes/pubs. Easy access by bus to city and Bondi Junction. Relaxed atmosphere. Able to use facilities e.g kitchen and garden almost as your own home. Although shared bathrooms these were always spotless and always or available. Short walk to ferry to take you into Sydney in about 20 mins. Great taste in decor and music. A superb charismatic B&B. Do not be put off by sharing bathroom facilities, it really is not a problem. It is ideally situated close to ferries and bus routes taking only a few minutes into Sydney centre. It also has good on street parking if you have a car,. Lovely comfortable historic building with views across the bay. Perfectly situated for travel by ferry across the bay, directly to the centre of Sydney, trains, red bus etc. Clean accommodation with lots of nice personal touches Charming, helpful manager,. Kate and Amy were wonderful. The place was very cozy and very clean. Loved the back yard and the little extras such as the BBQ we were able to use. Breakfast was OK for someone who just wants to fill their tummy with a little something. The bedroom was very clean, contemporary design,with full kitchen for our use. Free parking on the street in front of the house.Shared Bathroom was very clean and nice smell.We will stay here again if we travel to Sydney next time. They were very nice and friendly. The location is excellent, close to grocery stores, bakery and MacDonalds. Also close to bus or ferry service. They have a nice kitchen to cook your own meals. I didn't quite like the shared bathroom concept, but it was ok once I got used to it. It can be a plus factor, because I didn't have to wait for my partner to finish showering before having my shower as there were 5 shared showers in the lodge. None. There was nothing to complain about! We had a fantastic holiday!. You have to have your own towel for shower. The single beds were quite narrow. The service at the lodge is non existent when the hotel Manager Walter is not around. He did not seem very interested in helping out after his off hours. The place is more like a homestay than a proper lodge. Nothing I did not like. 2 suggestions towards continuous improvement. 1) The sound on TV did not come on straight away when turning on unit/device. 2) Have pay TV available for guests pleasure. Newly cleaned rooms - sometimes overpowering perfume from cleaning products, but not a huge problem. No A/C. The ferry timetable to circular quay in every hour, so you have to spare at least 10-15 min walking from the hotel to catch up ferry in time but not a big deal for us. Cannot think of anything. Whilst we were there they had a group booking of 10 people. Unfortunately they were early risers & were very noisy from 6am onwards when they were making breakfast in the shared kitchen. Nothing really. Maybe I would have liked a full length mirror but not enough to ask for one. Lack of en suite not a problem. Beautiful modern bathrooms. We had to walk past the reception room and front door to get to the bathroom... sorry people trying to check out while I'm in my bath robe. There was absolutely nothing I didn't like!. Nothing. We enjoyed our stay. Slight inconvenience re sharing toilets and bathrooms but this was more than offset by convenience of location and budget. We only stayed 2 nights! (Could stay and enjoy a week and have a wonderful holiday.). I have nothing to complain about. Creaking stairs and floor. We got the city view room, however, couldn't see much of the city though. Having to go home afterwards. The lights in the hall could be abit softer at night. Abit too bright at night. I stayed there 2nights. I was expecting they would clean the room and change the towel but they didn't. Except this, other things were perfect!. nothing.
