The cottage we stayed in (The Rose) was immaculately clean, stocked with everything you could possibly need and with a wonderful wood burning fire that was roaring on arrival (and maintained by much more experienced hands than ours during our stay), bedroom is cosy and bathroom has a great shower and spa bath. I wouldn't call some of the fixtures and fittings high end luxury, but it all worked and it felt homely. The service from Louise & Rob was personalised, warm, without being over beari.
kaikki arvostelut » The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly, they even asked us what previsions we required for our breakfast and they did not have a problem with purchasing us soy milk etc. The cottages are on a quiet property with a beautiful view and new facilities. We were in walking distance to two excellent restaurants, one casual the other silver service and both were great in their own special ways. We will be returning. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful! The breakfast provided was good with delicious bread, jam, baked beans, cereals, etc.. We even got chocolate :) The cottage is lovely, very clean, we especially liked the fire place. Views are great! There are excellent restaurants in the area. Great for foodies! Thanks for everything! Definitely recommended!!. The owners made sure the fire was going for us from the time we got there and stoked it for us while out to dinner so the place would be warm upon our return. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Spa was hygienically flushed which we'd not seen elsewhere. Lots of great reading material and local knowledge. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay Louise and Rob!. The accommodation is owned by people who really care about the quality of your stay. It was lovely and cosy and has a beautifully green view from the bedroom. It was simple comfort. Lots of dvd's provided for a quiet romantic night in and I liked that some minor breakfast items were provided so that we didn't have to rush out. Louise was lovely and very accomodating - she even drove us to the wedding reception we were attending. The room was very comfortable and cosy. Perfect for a long weekend - would've been great if we had more time to relax and enjoy it more. The fireplace was amazing! We really enjoyed relaxing with the large number of magazines and DVD's Louise had provided in the cottage. Visiting the resident alpaca and pony was good fun. A really great place to stay!. My husband and I loved every bit of our weekend. From the time we stepped into the accomodation we felt comfortable and relaxed. One of the most friendliest host we have ever met and we will be coming back for sure. it was amazing great location. The owners made you feel like one of the family and went out of their way to ensure our stay was everything we imagined. Then left us alone to enjoy the great area in peace. The location is great, close to everything around the Peninsula. Its very private and has plenty of space. Well stocked with DVD's, magazines, a great fireplace and spa. We enjoyed staying there. We loved the whole concept offered....it is very relaxing, private- close to wonderful restaurants. Louise has an eye for detail and we did not want for anything...great place to stay. Louise the host is lovely and the cottage is perfect. The breakfast supplies were excessive and delicious. It was lovely to look out the window and see their pet llama and pony as well. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. Louise is so friendly and welcoming and has thought of absolutely everything you could need during your stay here. We didn't get to stay long, but it was a very relaxing environment and the cottage was superb. All we could ask for. We definitely will be staying again. Owners very friendly and welcoming. I didn't get to enjoy the accommodation for long enough as we were at a wedding and really only got to sleep there. One of our bath products seemed quite empty, for the price your paying I would've expected nicer products. It would also have been nice to have bubbles provided for the bath. If you're staying in Monteresso, you don't get the beautiful view of the valley, but other than that it was a great stay. Breakfast was a basic. Just continental style with bread, cereal, jams, cheese and tomato. No cooking facilities other than a microwave. We went to a café for a cooked breakfast. It wasn't cheap, but gorgeous cottages in red hill aren't. Nothing we disliked. Pressure in the shower. The couch needs to be replaced with something a couple can relax on together. Very uncomfortable!!! This is our only complaint. We thought there would be breakfast supplies - eg bacon and eggs - to cook.
