The room was fantastic and the people were very friendly. The dinner and service at the restaurant was well above what was expected, absolutely beautiful. The spa on the roof was checked and turned on every morning and they even check and clean the BBQ for you. We will definitely be going back. complimentary Champagne for our anniversary unexpected and delightful. Walking on the beach the dining was delicious, a lovely place to spoil yourself for a while.

It's just up the road from cairns so makes a good weekend away at a reasonable price. Friendly staff, beautifully appointed room, huge spa bath, lovely dinner at realistic prices, closeness to the beach. Luxurious. One night was a "waste". Would have enjoyed having more nights but work requirements interfered!. Very good location and great facilities. We stayed in unit 250 and I would come back any time. The place was amazing the room the pools spa staff were just perfect will be back again soon. Luxurious hotel beautifully laid out. Excellent breakfasts. Adjacent to a golf course. Well designed room and spacious luxurious pool area. Atmosphere was very relaxing and was a good location on 4-mile beach. Very pleasant place to stay and relax,clean luxurious facilities. We cannot complain about anything. Having only one night to stay there, would love to go back. Visited in May and was a little chilly, would be great if part of pool was heated so can use all year round. Good coffee required, I ordered at Pool bar and not very good. Food at Pool Bar also average. Fresher sleeping pillows/decorative pillows would be great too. BF was good however there were lots of fruit fly every where. a bit far out from Port Douglas (6 km). A bit isolated from the commercial area. Own transport needed. Insufficient overnight parking receiving notification of incorrect parking. It really spoils the overall impression. Parallel parking should be considered where there is space. You really do need a car to get to Port Douglas itself though the hotel does have a courtesy bus (at cost). meals at the restuarant, particularly breakfast, were a bit on the over priced side. We were not able to access the movies in our room and had to ask for another room. Some service problems: room key didn't work the first time, room wasn't made the first day. It wasn't possible to close all window blinds completely, fridge doesn't close properly. The room facilities could be better improved with a microwave. As we had a young baby it was very difficult to heat baby bottles and baby food. Cleaners and room service coming into room before we had a chance to let them in. The toilets were not that clean.. Fridge was not working for our entire stay. Reported to reception 3 times. Can do you with a facelift for the price you pay,cleanliness not a high priority.In its day it would have been worth the price. it's plastic. Extremely poor value for money especially booking through bookings.com. We found our rooms advertised the day after we arrived for half the amount we paid. Advertised pay tv offered little choice. The advertised king bed was actually two singles pushed together and very uncomfortable. On the whole poor value for a resort of this kind.
