The service from Simon in the dining area ( waiter) was a really nice guy helped us out and would like if he got some sort of bonus or accommodation for his brilliant and thoughtful workmanship :) the chefs with compliments guys very well done the food was perfect , the dining area is perfect nice staff perfect food nice music really set the mood for the night . As we could not resist , we were supposed to stay 1 night ended up staying three nights was worth every peny! The cleaners I didn't se.
kaikki arvostelut » Bed was so comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, cleaners do a great job my dust allergies did not play up. i loved the quaintness of the hotel, like it is an old building and they have kept it simple which has made it really charning. Easy to get to train services and city area. Breakfast was yummy and presentation was good. The staff were very considerate and helpful when we asked for a late checkout. Loved having 24 hour reception and the hotel reception help our key when we went out. Room would be great for a romantic weekend even though my friend and i went this time. Excellent friendly staff. Lovely old world charm ambiance.Great service and menu choice in the Cafe for breakfast.So nice to have a varied interesting cuisine choice.Super location within walking distance of everything needed for a city stop over. Perfect service staff and even had an early check in and upgraded to a huge suite instead as the reception saw that we just got into Perth and was tired from the trip. No questions asked she gave us after about half hour of waiting. Great location, walk to anywhere. Historic quaint hotel, beautiful updated large exterior bedroom. The room was more updated than public rooms. $170 a night, Perth is very expensive! Good food also. Nice staff. Would recommend. If you can get the internet deal, this is very cheap for Perth city centre ($90). Free, fast internet (fast enough to watch tv online) is still quite rare in Perth hotels so if you have work to do, quite a bonus!. Lovely atmosphere,If we had been in Perth longer we would have booked dinner in the beautiful old dining room.We will stay again when we visit Perth and thank you fro the late departure at no extra cost. Excellent boutique rooms, really friendly and helpful staff, great menu options in the Cafe and Bar (didn't get to try the restaurant), especially at breakfast where it's not just the same-old menu. Friendly, helpful staff and a brilliant location, 10 mins walk in one direction to Kings Park, 10 mins walk in opposite direction to main city centre venues including His Majesty's Theatre. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. Food (though we only had breakfasts at the hotel) was excellent. Facilities were clean, comfortable and well maintained. Location was excellent as I was at Perth Expo for business. Food was good and well priced - salt & pepper squid on Caesar salad highly recommended. Staff extremely helpful. good position, computers or phones could not be left in rooms to charge without key in slot-regularly couple may each need key on/with them, comfortable - would stay again. We arranged a late check in (3am) and they were very accommodating. Great place to stay - the location is awesome - close to some of the best cafes and just around the corner from the Perth Arena. Rooms clean and comfortable. It is in a city with mostly old offices turned into accommodation a relief to find a true hotel, old styled, with some rooms with a wonderful balcony. Liked the old building with it's lovely stair case, it has heaps of character unlike newer hotels in the city. Breakfast was huge and yummy. Friendly staff who supplied additional blankets when we asked. Breakfast was more than expected and room service meal was excellent. The Melbourne is a Perth Icon and a heritage hotel, however none of this impacted the quality of the stay or facilities. The staff were excellent, the location perfect and the atmosphere great. Thank You! Will definitely stay again soon. Great location for going to the Perth Arena. Nice clean rooms and beds. Fridge in the room. Loved the breakfast. Friendly staff allowed us to check in early as we live down south and very helpful re taxi to the airport. Comfortable bed, windows that open easily, close to the Arena for concerts, bar downstairs. Stately old hotel, central location, upgrade to suite (huge). Large bathroom. Charming building. Location was ideal for us to get out and about within CBd on foot . Room was clean and tidy and quiet and didn't mind not having window. The Location to the city and other venues. Well priced accomadation. Only a few things I didn't like ... Nothing major The rooms are a little bit small but for what it has in them very practical and comfy The price of the room wasn't to bad but I'd like to see it slum an extra 10-15 dollars more affordable for people that would like to stay longer :) Shower and bathroom size perfect but needs to have more pressure for the shower and maybe bigger soaps and conditioners body wash ect ect. After our return from the Perth arena the bar was closed already at 11pm on a Saturday night. nothing was bad. Would like to see more old world decor in rooms to compliment the building. More pillows be easily available for guests. All rooms not updated yet, my friends room not as updated or large, they paid $109. But... Don't book this room for more than a couple of nights, it has no window which you don't find out until after you book, although, you can upgrade for $27, so if it bothers you it's not too bad. No bath. It's not a modern hotel but that's reflected in the price. I'd an internal room with high windows. No big deal as I was only there for a couple of nights and out most of the time. A bit noisy internally and externally. Noisy floorboards but not a big problem. Pity they will refurbish and will get victim of the real estate developers mafia. Money rules again...... No window in our room although it wasn't a problem. Mix-up over room on the first night The bar Credit-card surcharge. Bath room could do with an update. Tiles in shower a bit grotty. No on site parking, no room service for snacking after 9pm, when returning from a concert!. Squeaking floor boards telling you other guests had returned in the night. Street parking only & it was very hard to get. After making the booking I saw the room had no windows!. No parking available. No hotel parking. The initial problem with trying to get the Internet to work. breakfast took way to long to get to us, there was only 10 people in the cafe and our order of 1 toasted sandwich and 1 toasted banana bread with 2 coffee's and OJ took approx 45 mins. The fact my card got debited of room cost which still now is not reimbursed two days later when I'd actually finalised in cash on check out.please if you can rectify this. Thanks ms Lisa Allison room 105 Saturday night. The one thing I found disappointing was that no one returned to collect my room service tray. Facilities are old though well maintained. Changed rooms twice due to no external windows in standard room and later, tripping of circuit breaker which resulted in power outage from TV & all sockets. However, the staff was great as they gave me a bigger & better room at no extra cost!. The bed was too soft to my liking and the window opened on the kitchen chimney, so it brought a smell of french fries in the room when we tried to open it. Didn't like that you didn't have parking but was aware of that when I booked. In house facilities lack atmosphere and service isn't great. no window for natural light needed a bit more tourist info in the room. No wifi as described on the Internet. The floor carpets need to be replaced. I know that the room would not have a window, and didn't mind that. I might have found it oppressive if I had had to spend a lot of time in the room. None. Separation of breakfast into a cafe. Dinner service ...had my meal tipped into my lap from waiter...accidental of course but had to tell him to get me water and cloth to attempt to get sauce etc off and was not offered complimentary meal other than replaced piece of fish!!! Hence did not return for further meals during our stay. The bed is old and a little uncomfortable and the pillows are like rocks. There was no soap holder in the shower. The windows need to be double glazed to suppress the noise at night.
