  be warned if you are expecting the hotel grandeur and modern and packed with guests, this hotel is not what you are looking for. However, the intimate and cozy feeling, plus the fine elegance of the deco all offer a nice and comfortable stay. Above all the staff were courteous and always made you feel welcome and as if we were regular customers to the hotel. Location of hotel was great - only 500m from Circular Quay and about 5min walk to Opera House. My fiance and I will definitely be coming back to the

  A great place to stay, The Harbour View Room was fantastic we were there for the Aust. Navy Fleet Review and did not need to leave the room to watch the fireworks and events. The staff were friendly and helpful. It seemed like our room was serviced every time we left it. We loved our stay. I recommend a harbour-view room suite. Apart from the value for money, the hotel was in a great location for a city visit to Sydney, pleasant staff, very comfy room, excellent house-keeping, L'occtaine toiletries and we took advantage of the gym and outdoor heated pool too. Some reviews had complained the hotel is dated. I wouldn't agree. Very enjoyable stay, we will be back.

The Intercontinental on Circular Quay had the most professional,helpful and friendliest staff of all the hotels we've stayed at in Sydney. One morning we witnessed the 'egg chef' loosing conrol somewhat & hope that within our view of his team members supporting hi, it helped his situation and that all is good there.   It was sheer pleasure to stay at Quay West! The Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive and bent over backwards to be helpful. Staff were excellent and really friendly, and we received a complementary bottle of champagne for my partners birthday :) The room was one of the nicest I've stayed in, and everything was of high quality! :) T2 tea yum!!
