My husband & I plus our 24 year old daughter stayed at Palms Motel for 2 nights while attending a family wedding in Darwin. We had a family room which was very spacious and very clean. The aircon was reasonably quiet and very efficient. The beds were extremely comfortable too. It was quiet and in a great location close to everything. The pool area is great and I wished we had more time to enjoy it. There was an iron in the room. We weren't disappointed by The Palms as it doesn't misreprese.

Its a very family friendly motel, with all the facilities u need as well as being good value for money. The kids loved the pool as well. We booked a triple room even though there were four of us and just said the 2 little ones could double up on the single bed but when we checked in to the motel they had put an extra bed in the room for us at no extra cost, that was very nice and appreciated :) We would most de. The hotel was close to the beach and CBD. The room/s were basic but clean and, in addition to TV/ Tea & coffee facilities/ bar fridge, the inclusion of an electric hotplate, microwave, and crockery/cutlery was great! The man and woman at reception were great (very friendly) when booking in/ out and with giving information about local directions and tour information. Not five star but the effort of staff to make you feel comfotable was out standing.Very friendly and suppliing us with fishing gear,esky,tackle and advice helped us ctach a 7 kg Queen fish for dinner.Thanks Palms. The room we stayed at was like a small apartment very spacious. Within walking distance to everything. Beds are comfortable. Value for money especially if you are on a tight budget with a small family,. Very basic but good price considering we spent little time in the room. Nice and quiet during the night. Overall it was good, we would stay here again. new towels every day, basic equipment but sufficient to cook with, pool, easy walking distance into town. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly. Motel is well situated. Quite happy with our stay. Nice and clean, good location, nice gentleman that checked us in. It is a bit dated and we didn't get enough shampoo/conditioner or shower gel for 3 people for 2 days. Nothing. no internet access but i believe it is coming. Hot plate is a bit dangerous as teh whole thing gets red hot. bed was lumpy. noisy frig. nothing. A bit tired. Front door lock would not lock from the inside The air con switches-two, are worn out and border on the dangerous. The air con units have travelled a lot of miles, need replacing. Not suitable for mature folk as bags have to be carried up the 2 flights of stairs. Very basic facilities. In need of refurbishment. Overpriced, forgot our late arrival, noisy, primitive.
