The colour scheme throughout the room, including the towels, was a relaxing soft green/off-white. The bed was fantastic, nice and firm but not too hard. It was also nice to be able to open the window for fresh air, as the room could get a little stuffy even with the aircon on. The staff were very friendly, helpful and did not push their facilities "down your throat". A very clean, well situated and restful motel just sufficiently distant from the bustle of town that was easily accessible. It was well named -"the Travellers Rest"!!.

It was perfect for our needs - a clean and comfortable place to sleep that was close to where we needed to be, early the next morning. Staff were very helpful- we wanted to do some quick sightseeing. They provided maps and info. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and the beds were very comfortable. It was also peaceful. It's central location to everything. The rooms are spotless and for the price you really get value for money. The motel was in lovely surroundings & was very comfortable & clean. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Short drive to town yet lovely and quiet. A clean comfortable room for the night. Welcoming and courteous staff. Value for money, cleanliness, location. Very reasonable cost for breakfast. Friendly accommodating staff. comfort & quietness. Nice and quiet location. Clean and comfortable. security. There is not much to improve, but if the owners want to make their guests even more comfortable, I would suggest adding little bottles of shampoo, shower gel, a shower cap and a box of tissues. In future, maybe they could also add a cafe or small restaurant as they already have large function facilities. Nothing, it was fine. We couldn't stay longer. Beautiful area to visit. The shower flooded the bathroom and we needed more towels to mop up the floor. It was a shame that the restaurant wasn't licensed & that you were asked to order your meal by 5pm. We got the impression that it was going to be a take away Chinese meal that was going to be reheated in the microwave. Basic breakfast. Hard to find in the dark at night as street signs were misleading. No hairdryer. not enough milk. Location, no facilities around, no breakfast or after hours food option. It was a bit basic. Cold toast. The decore dated and tacky. Beds are old and hard. Cessnock over priced accommodation. Cashing in on tourism. no ironing board or iron. Staff showed little flexibility in check-in and check-out time. Basic facilities - girl on front desk was rude when checking in. The Road in..... The room had a very small window. Not much natural lighting. There was a used chewing gum underneath in my bed sheets which was disgusting. Has a restaurant advertised but doesn't open on weekends. room to small for a family with two teenage need more coffee and tea more than 4 milk maybe a microwave to heat food up and more than 4 pillows restraint not open for meals mold in bathroom only send staff all ways out watching tv you would think more ads price over the top for room very dull lighting in hall and room.
