I loved the service we got from Clinton the man that did the buffet breakfast on Sunday morning. He was extremely pleasant and a asset to your hotel. He made us feel welcome and that we were important. We noticed he was rushed off his feet so we took it upon ourselves to clear some tables for him which was our privilage. More hotels should follow Clintons enthusiasium and make their guest feel as great as he made us feel!! Thanks again to a great guy!.

For an older style hotel, this hotel had a certain class and elegance about it. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous and the atrium style with indoor pool and spa added to the atmosphere. The location was central to Bunbury shops and the beach and bay, would recommend to other travellers. The corner room was excellent great balcony with view of the ocean, nickelodean Channel for the kids and the staff were lovely and very helpful ( particularly the lady at reception who gave me Panadol out of her own stash when the pharmacy was closed. The rooms were clean, calming and comfortable. The bed was fantastic and it was lovely to have the choice of mini bar, also to have foxtel. The staff were very friendly and the ambience was great. Great hotel, would recommend to friends. Thank you. we have stayed at the quality hotel lord forest quite a few times, its a lovely place and the surrounda and great and the inside of the hotel is nothing less than breathtaking! We enjoy it more everytime we go there. The young girl that booked us in was fantastic and very helpful she offered to decorate the room for me in her own time for my friends wedding night. It's not very often these days you get that service. The service and food From the dinner staff was excellent. All staff were helpful and polite. The service was outstanding. Any requests for day staff was also of high standard. We had a corner room on the 4th floor which was large with 3 windows with superb views across Bunbury to the hills behind and we also had glimpses of the harbour. Central location useful for shopping and foods - Free car parking very practical - Free access to computer and internet in main lobby. Good value for money. Barman was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Good location for family get together. Enjoyed meal at the hotel restaurant, although wait was lengthy. I was there for a conference. The facilities were good and the staff helpful. The large atrium space makes for a good, open atmosphere. I like the room very comfortable & clean. Staff were very friendly hotel well located. Have recommend to friends & family. nice clean room, friendly bar staff and a ripper meal in the restaurant, plus a view over the bay from our room - excellent. We always enjoy staying here As walking distant to most Places and good value for money Will always come back again. The service in the breakfast area was good. Clinton was great and made great coffee. He is an asset to your hotel. had a great time and will surly come again soon and would recommend it to my friends and family :). I loved the fact that it was close to shops, beach restaurants and a short drive from the country. My wife and I liked the waiter for the morning breakfast, he was polite, upbeat and attentive. It is looking much better now they have started to refurbish. Rooms need to be next. The position in the centre of Bunbury , easy access to restaurants, shopping etc. Fanastic friendly service from the lovely man running the breakfast buffet. staff very helpful and friendly..very good price and facilities for WA.. One of the receptionist girls was a bit short and rude when we checked out. She should go and get some pointers off Clinton!. It is quite noisy in the rooms (could hear party down stairs and children in pool) and would probably give a better first impression with a fresh coat of paint especially the pool but that did not effect our stay. we waited to long to be served at the counter and the staff receptionist was rude and not interedted in being there, very dissappointing from the other visits we have had there. Needs updating. Breakfast. We had the smorgasbord. The bacon was hard you could not cut or chew it. The eggs tasted artificial and the whole lot was cold. The following day we went to a cafe around the corner for breakfast. Nothing. Noticed various rooms have issues with doors not self locking(both mine and my sisters room had this problem 418/422) Mentioned to receptionist on departure, but she seemed too busy to follow up. The decor is very 60s and looking a bit tired. Nothing. The bed was a bit soft. there was only one thing that I was disappointed in was the room service pizza we ordered on the Friday night we ordered a supreme but there was realy nothing on it more cheese than anything else and it was very softed and slopy in the middle was not worth the $22 we payed of it :(. There was nothing I didn't like. Oh except my stay couldn't be longer. The water pressure was low and the kitchen light was not working when we arrived but was attended to the next day by your friendly maintenance man. We had a bad nights sleep our last night with the room either next to us or above us blaring their music all night. The lift, I'm nervous with heights. Room service food only ok. Very noisy in our room with the wind whistling and the air conditioner motor going non stop till late at night. How outdated it was, I stayed there in the family suite around 10 or so years ago and it still looked the same. The gym needs updating and the pool could do with a makeover. Was a little disappointed that the staff didn't know who John Forrest was - famous son of Bunbury and hotel namesake. Thought they would have had the hotel decorated for his Birthday on the 22nd August!!!. LED lighting is oppressive, could use one bed lamp at least with halogen type globe particularly for migraine sufferers. Also tea cups too small, when will hotels get it that guests like mugs and stubbie sized glassware. There was no lock on the bathroom door, and the balcony was a bit bare. If you a light sleeper then the local precinct is noisy on Friday nights. Reception staff were unprofessional and would rather talk to each other than deal with guests. The breakfast room service was terrible. The scrambled eggs were grey and cold and a very small portion, although it was supposed to be two eggs. I paid $4 for a side serve of mushrooms and received 5 button mushrooms all cold. That the pool shut at 7pm, it used to be open later. A winding noise heard from inside the room which was believed to occur when the a/c was turned on outside the room. Thumping of drums late at night. Hearing children at 6.00am. in the pool. Unable to regulate temperature of the Shower. No free wifi, for a room of that small size priced at $160 there should at least be free wifi, it said there would be a dould and a single bed, but there was two singles, view was of a roof, and quite noisy on level one because pool is just below with kids playing etc. Should be discounted in not as nice locations such as this. I'm sure there were better rooms for same price. Pool could have shallow end for kids,and wi-fi was to expensive. The pool was too cold, Some carpets might need to be changed, except that the rooms were nice. Hard beds, rooms need a revamp. Looking a little tired needs a revamp. the ventilation low pitched noise in our room 406. could not sleep well as taxi ramp just out front had hundreds of young people yelling and screaming after clubs closed.This went on from midnight till 6am. Spa did not work until shown how to work it next day . Instsead of pushing knob ,it had to be really thumpedSpoilt the first night.
