  After a long day driving, arriving at quality Powerhouse Armidale was a welcome surprise. The rooms were very luxurious and the Tapas Bar for dinner and drinks, not to mention the Morrocan inspired decor was sublime. The room was comfortable and dinner was one of the best I've had from a motel restaurant. The best country motel I have stayed at in a very, very long time.

  The room had 12 power outlets! 12! and 4 of them were either side of the bed. The Air con was new and worked brilliantly. The room was ver spacious which was great when it is raining and you have kids. There are deer which were just a lovely touch for the kids. There is a heated pool and spa which were very well kept.   Good location drive less than 5 min to the city. The Manager namely Philip always showing a great smile which is a big tick being a front desk concierge . We were given a clear instruction to check out at 10am. Quite old unique building - outstanding appearance compare to other motel. The menu looks great for big breakfast.   A very fine ambience in this delightfully restored winery. Complimentary port or muscat in the Great hall with two wood fires blazing was a relaxing way to end a day's driving. The restaurant meal was excellent, as was the breakfast in the sunny morning room.All the staff were friendly and efficient. I would unreservedly recommend Petersons Winery at Armidale. - Geoff and I love staying at Peterson's Armidale Winery and Guesthouse. We are repeat visitors and appreciate the ambience, the great staff, the food and the beautifully appointed rooms. The staff were very understanding when we couldn't arrive by 2100 because of a detour because of bushfires and were more than willing to make us welcome by leaving the key and fresh milk for a cup of tea when we arrived.
