I liked the condo-apt. I reserved on the 3rd floor with ocean view. Also, the owners (the resort manages it for them) had decorated nicely. The space had a contemporary, but homey feel. Grounds were reasonably well-kept. -

Yes, the place is old and run down, but if you're looking for a clean, budget-friendly place, it's fine. Great shower. We got a free upgrade to a room with a king-size bed, so that was very nice.

The location is very good and on the beach which could be dangerous due to high currents but is very nice when the water is calm. The rooms are huge and kept clean. They offer free breakfast (some pastries, bananas, juice, coffee, and tea) which is very convenient to start a busy day on Kauai. We liked our stay in Sands hotel and will definitely go there again.

Garden View Apartment included nice view of ocean, large lanai with table and two chairs, washer/dryer, dishwasher, full kitchen, supplied soaps for washer and dishwasher and bathroom toiletries. There were several clean gas grills with grilling tools around the property as well as lounge chairs, hammocks, pool and hot tub. Great restaurant on site but make reservations at least 48 hours in advance. Gluten free menu was phenomenal.

A fantastic location (enhanced by our free up grade to an ocean view room - right on the beach with the sunrise in our window). We were lucky enough to be upgraded to room 208. This a one bedroom suite above the lobby, that weirdly enough comes with it's own dedicated car space. It was a great room...spotless, well designed, had a great view of the ocean, and a comfortable bed. We only stayed two nights, and wished we could have stayed longer. For us, this hotel was far better than the Marriott Courtyard, which is located in the same area.

The ocean front view was absolutely breathtaking looking onto the wild Wailua Bay. The flat was spacious and nicely furnished. The kitchen, bathroom, living room was extremely well-equiped as if we would have stepped in the home of friend who lives there. The location is good with shops and restaurants in a walking distance. WBV Condos are great. The view is the best (ocean and island combo). Very clean and people very friendly and helpful. We liked the location, not as busy and people congested as the Poipu area. Loved everything about it.
