  Free breakfast was great. Hotel staff at check-in were very helpful with finding a restaurant for dinner - even had a list of options ready. Also appreciated the information brochure provided on Joshua Tree National Park as it gave us a chance to look at options the night before heading off the next day. - Hot Breakfast was great. After driving for 9 hours alone, my anxieties and exhaustion disappeared when I was greeting by the hotels night hostess. I felt like the she was welcoming me into her home. She made me feel so comfotable. And then the daytime was just as kind. The maids and the maintenance man and desk clerks gave genuine customer service.

  The hotel is exactly what we were looking for. A rustic boutique hotel. I am not a fan of mass produced rooms from a chain hotel.   I grew up in 29 Palms so I have a bit more insight than the typical traveler regarding the chain hotels on the main roads. That being said, I was relieved to find that Sunnyvale Gardens had a vacancy for my 3 night trip. The hotel was created from former condos. Exhausted from driving and the move, it was wonderful to have the kitchenette and spacious living room area to come back to at the end of the day.
