I checked into Grand Hyatt in Dec2013.
I was pleasantly surprised by how big the rooms are; at least, twice as big as any other hotel that I have stayed in for a price around $400. The rooms are extremely good in terms of maintenance and all the facilities that you would expect of Hyatt.

Room was clean and efficient . Good bathroom with daily replenished products .

Huge Lobby where the free wifi was available .
Lobby included coffee shop and snack area .
Nice bar area . We didn't use the restaurent or breakfast facilities preferring to eat out .

Friendly and helpful front desk staff, including the concierge. Excellent location to many attractions and eateries. Interactive map of city and other factual information on big LED screen in lobby were a great self help tool. Clean and adequate sized rooms (we had 3 in our party). -

The hotel is modern and spacious with large, comfortable, clean rooms. The suites are great with children- the pull-out couch is excellent quality and is a king-size bed. The bathroom is modern and spacious. The rooms are very quiet- a very nice experience! The location, near Time Square and Madison Ave. shopping is great! The staff are helpful and complimentary water and fruit is available in the lobby. The rooms have complimentary water, sodas, and snacks. A classy operation!

I thought the hotel was excellent. I have visited New York many times on business but this time I was travelling with my wife and teenage children who had not visited New York before. New and clean hotel in the center of Manhattan. 15 min to Time Aquare , 15 minutes to Flatiron from hotel by walking. Personal is so nice, kind and helpfull. The biggest shopping center Macy's is 2 blocks after. Perfect bed and bathroom. Also the room is big according to the other hotels in Manhattan. I will prefer to stay there when I visit NY again.
