I was upgraded on arrival to a suite and a late check out the day I left. I had a very bad fall on my second day in Washington and the staff were excellent, helped me get cleaned up, find a clinic, and sent me fruit and a card to wish me a speedy recovery. I had room service a couple of nights and the food was amazing. The rooftop bar is lovely , very relaxing and staff very friendly. I had read some negative reviews before our trip , but decided to take a
chance. Very glad we did. The staff was very helpful , the room was
clean and neat and with vintage charm. The staff at the
restaurant/bar were so nice , gave us ice in our cooler every time
we needed with no problem at all. Loved the 4 days we spent there. Would
stay again in a heartbeat! As for having no elevator, it is only 4
stories high, no big deal at all people!! Maybe count it as your daily
exercise to walk a few s

We loved the beautiful, tasteful decor and peaceful ambiance of the public areas of this hotel. These areas included an excellent restaurant and bar and a lovely reading room. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. The spa was fabulous. Three of our party had a massage, and each of us was pleased with the experience. The room was quiet and nicely appointed, although not as luxurious as some other five star hotels we've stayed in.
