I thought the hotel was excellent. I have visited New York many times on business but this time I was travelling with my wife and teenage children who had not visited New York before. The staff is very courteous, friendly, helpful. The concierge is very well informed, and knowledgeable with all kinds of restaurants; from raw vegan to the top steakhouses in the city. The house car is a plus. The location is perfect; a walking distance to anything you could think of!

What a FAB hotel
From the moment we checked in until we departed we were treated like gold. I got this room at an excellent price yet the staff and our concierge went above and beyond their duties with little extras like cupcakes and bubbly for my boyfriends 30 th which we spent in NYC.

What didn't I like?? It was at a great location 5-10 mins walk to Empire State and Times Square. Subway is only a block away. You have a 24 hour organic deli across the road Bread and Butter. Korean food and restaurants open till late. 15-20min walk to Chelsea and soho. Les Halle's french restaurant is just across the road!

They also organised taxis - at a rate negotiated by the hotel which was cheaper than the regular taxi rate and stored our luggage (checkout time is the usual 12.00) and we weren't leaving New York until the evening. This is a "Classic" hotel that is part of the Waldorf Astoria. Separate entrance, separate doorman, concierge, etc. Feels like "Old New York". Rooms have 15 ft ceilings and wonderful architecture. We had two rooms and our daughter's room was modern, phenomenal bath all in marble. great, personal, service. Will definitely stay again. -
