The building itself is magnificent - harks back to a more refined time. We were a group of 5 "mature" college girlfriends, having our every-other-year reunion. The location was great, being within walking distance to the White House and many other sites, and 1 block away from the Metro. The breakfast buffet (not included) was beyond plentiful with

It was a day layover for 25th wedding ani /50th birthday
en route to Hawaii. Given room upgrade not quite a suite but corner room views both ways. Biggest chocolate strawberrys/and cake and cream ive ever seen as a special gesture and free. staff and conciege extra polite and helpful.As previous comments this is a luxury standard by which all others should be judged the besr hotel we have stayed in and weve stayed in some top ones. the hotel is steeped in history take the trouble to enquire????

location (a bit closer to White House would mean sleeping in a tent on their lawn :) ), when staying on Executive level you have access to the Executive Lounge - basic drinks and fresh fruit during the day - very convinient because you don't have to be just in the room when in a hotel, staff very kind and trying to help -

The hotel is fully renovated. Nice, clean, modern. Having a kitchen helped feed breakfast in the morning for kids. Close to Mt. Vernon square metro station-yellow line. Friendly front desk. Elisa is great. Left our bags at the hotel upon check out since we had a later flight. CVS is round the block for groceries. We were flying from DCA - so a quick 5 min walk to metro and we were at the airport < 30mins!!

This place was really funky and cool. The staff was really nice and helpful and the rooms were clean and had everything you need including leopard robes! It is a good location to walk to the see the sights and there are a lot of good restaurants within a block. -

Great staff, service. Very helpful, never ignored, clean, with great amenities. Like any trip item you forgot, they provide! Also great location to sightsee and hundreds of amazing restaurants. Everything, the hotel is wonderful. I'm a retired Marine and I've traveled with my family to many places. This is the best hotel my wife and I have ever stayed in. - Room with the balcony view of the inside mall and river veiw also. Iwill let others know about this, when visiting here.
