The room was good quality. Location. The room is spacious and the hotel is really a good service hotel.Price. Waiters/ waitresses very good, room comfortable and clean, very well organised buffet and breakfast.Location, Parking, Excellent Breakfast, very friendly and welcoming staff. The price, excellent breakfasts and service. The convenience to local services. friendly staff and good service. Very quiet in the room. Breakfast very good. friendly staff and a good breakfast. Excellent breakfast included in price of £50. Rooms clean and well-provided with hot drinks etc. The night receptionist was lovely, he got us drinks at 1am. it was just a nice place to spend a night with my wife. The location -it was near to our family.Great staff, very comfoortable bed. convenience of location. the room was adequate for us. The water for showers/bath was hot the room was a comfotable heat. spacious and comfortable room in a hotel in a good location. Price of hotel and food. Quiet atmosphere. Good value for money. breakfast. On the whole the hotel met our needs for an overnight stay. The staff kindly found us a room to change in before check-in time as we were going to a lunchtime wedding. Rooms were small but adequate and clean. Convenience near A1. Reasonably quiet too. Good price.sleeping. Clean tidy rooms. Restaurant. Very convenient location and access to public transport. Please do not put my name if you intend to post this review in the website. The restaurant and food was of a reasonable quality, though the room wasa little cold. The room was fine and the breakfast was good. room reasonable size. price. Not a lot, Only 2 pillows in the room, only one set of towels even though it was a double room, staff miserable only one lad spoke to us at all, food from the buffet taken away very early without warning, very expensive bar prices, bar not open untill 5.00pm, restaurant was never open when we were there-we had to drive down the road for food. Its position. Very Little. Nothing. The noise down the corridors at night was unexceptable, but the hotel cant be held resposible for other inconsiderate guests. Corridors were a little "musty" and the rooms could do with a make-over, however they were clean and well supplied with tea/coffee facilities.Reception staff not so polite or communicative. There was only one small towel in the bathroom when two people sharing room.other guests had very noisy children who shouted and banged their door with no response from their own parents. 6 hours before I was due in, they tried to offload me onto another hotelin Stevenage due to "urgent maintenance". I stood my ground and theyeventually gave up. There was no "urgent maintenance" and they justwanted to get a higher paying guest than me. Also the lay-out of thehotel is higgledy-piggledy and up and down stairs and my room was as faras you could be from the reception.I felt there should have been lifts, there was also another party at the hotel so the bar was closed. to soft pillows. Monday morning breakfast had been cleared away before 9a.m. when the last time for breakfast was 9.30a.m. there are some smoking bedrooms. The smoke overflows into the corridoors. I spoke to reception about this.Bedroom walls and doors rather thin so that sound carried from corridors and other guest rooms. i did not like that fact that, even though my partner had left a debit card on file with them by booking, they insisted that my cash payment had to be up front with a £20 deposit. what was the point in having the debit card on file?. I was ill and no one answered the call at 2 am so I wandered around to see if I could get some medication and scared the duty manager to death who was watching tv. Shabby feel about the place. Smokey corridors.cold welcome at reception. A speaking machine could have done the job. On arrival there was no record of my booking. I had to produce the emailreservation as confirmation. The first room I was given had not beenmade up from the previous guest.Fire alarm going off at 6.30 am! Cooked breakfast was poor. Fried eggs were overcooked, luke warm and rubbery. Hash browns luke warm and thin. Yogurts unappetizing. It would have been nice to have an elevator rather than have to carry bags up 2 flights of stairs and along long corridors. It would be a good idea to have more staff on the front desk at check-out time as there was a huge queue. Decor a bit scruffy. Very busy.the breackfast. Hotel 'felt' 20 years out of date. No lift facility. The room telephone was with a defect. Not possible to fix it on Friday. I was given a new room which was not with the same quality as previous. I stayed in the previous room without incoming calls. It was terrible when someone from outside couldn't reach me by telephone. All the other double bedrooms were occupied. No alternatives. I am sure they new this problems for some times. Simply didn't fix. The first room we were given had hairs in the bath, no shower gel, nohand towel, was short of one bath towel, and had a leaking hot tap. Alsothe corridors where the room was located stank of stale cigarettes. Thealternative room we were given also had a dripping hot tap and thecurtains stank of stale cigarettes and were right above our heads in bed- not pleasant at all. We only had one bath towel in our room. We rang reception twice for another bath towel but it never arrived. This was very inconvenient as we had to go to a wedding so did not have time to hang about. There was only a small amount of toilet paper in our room on arrival as well. They are small things but it was very annoying as one bath towel is not sufficient when you are trying to get ready.Limited food choice excluding A La Carte, and some Decor a little shabby. no lunch during the day , rooms shabby. No Towels in room, Radiator full of air, mould on bathroom celing, food disgusting, entertainment dire, bar very expensive even for a hotel. The food was poor, and it was noisy at night.smelly room and corridor. The window frames and the outside of the hotel needs updating The breakfast was good value and the lounge area's were pleasant. We had a power cut as we were getting ready to go out - lasted approx20mins. Also, a fire alarm sounded in the early hours of the morning -no apology from staff upon check out. The food availiable for breakfast, coffee was cold, no orange juice left, toast stale and not toasted, no fruit left but we still were charged !0.95. There is a long letter of complaint in the post. Lack of cleanliness. Hotel is very badly in need of re-furbishment. The Hotel was dirty, the first room I was given hadn't been cleaned, the second, had been cleaned but had hair in the bed and mould everwhere, I then had the pick of 2 more rooms and was asked to pick the best of the bunch, 1 having hair still in the bath I was left with only one choice which was below par. The bar during opening hours decided to clean the pipes so no joy there either. No hot water at 7.30am, room small, drains smell.
