The staff were very nice, and we enjoyed the food. The breakfast was good, and we had a tasty pub dinner (fish&chips, burgers) of excellent quality as well. The location is very central in Wareham, and you´re a short drive away from places like Corfe Castle and Lulworth / The Jurassic Coast. We got a parking spot in front of the hotel, which worked fine - you just have to know it´s there, and that you can unhook the chains to drive in. We had the family room at the top floor, which was OK, . todo comentarios »
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room, and the bathroom, were spotless. Toiletries were great, and the tea tray featured pretty bone china cups and plenty of refreshments. The first night of my stay, the temperature dropped below freezing and the room, being on the corner of a very old building, was a little cold, but there was a spare blanket in the room ready. Able to eat dinner in the restaurant attached and food was good.
We took over all 10 rooms of the Red Lion for my birthday and had an absolutely brilliant weekend - the staff are all wonderful and really looked after us, the food was delicious and everyone was arguing over who had the best room (coming from London we were all covinced we could have fitted in twice as many people as they'll allow). Very reasonably priced and Wareham itself is great. Couldn't have asked for more!.
Room, friendly staff, the hotel in general and surrounding areas. The award winning chip shop in the town omg yummm. The beaches.lolworth cove / durdle door. Corfe castle.Weymouth beach had red arrows on at the time, amazing, as first time see them. The Wednesday get together in the town had 50s night and cider fest. Can't fault great holiday.wish we stayed longer .oh and the weather deffo made it too :).
Great refurb on the pub, lovely staff, we were going to go out for dinner but looked at the menu and ate at the pub instead. Dinner was excellent and well priced. Family Rooms cosy and comfy and great boys had their own room too! breakfast superb! Wareham lovely as ever even in the rain!.
Very well-run and welcoming. Accommodation spacious, clean and attractive. Situated in Wareham (pretty little town) meant good access to all Purbeck region, which is stunningly beautiful. Good food served too and plenty of it!.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We were offered coffee whilst our room was being checked. Our room was large and comfortable. Good choice for breakfast and a full evening menu. Very reasonable cost wise.
Nicely decorated open plan Georgain Inn. Good food & drink with good size relaxing rooms. Will certainly use again when I visit the Purbecks. Good local bus & train service.
A great building of quite some historical interest in a great town.

The family room we stayed in was perfect for our needs. We stayed one night and ate at the hotel, the food was excellent and fairly priced.
Room 8 was great for family staff As kids had their own room rather than sofa bed in iur room. Friendly staff and lovely place to eat.
Excellent, spacious rooms, more like a suite with separate sitting room. Very comfortable bed.
Good choice and standard of breakfast.

The breakfast was very good
The bar area was very comfortable and relaxing.
Had room 2 and it had a separate sitting area and two TVs. Excellent.
Great breakfast and meals in the evening.
Warm and friendly. The food was particularly excellent.
We liked Wareham as not tourist which is its beauty.
Lovely family room in the attic with views towards the Purbeck Hills. Food good and staff excellent.
Lovely rooms - no noise. Good facilities in room, tea and coffee making, biscuits. Plenty of space.
All of it, it was extremely comfortable and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
I loved the bed and the bed linen. Lovely big room and bathroom. Food was very good.

Large room. Friendly staff. Decent food.
staff very friendly,loation.
Food-Friendly staff- good drinks selection.
Some of the interior could do with an upgrade. To give some friendly advice: Rip out the rather lugubrious wall-to-wall carpet and replace it with surfaces which are easier to keep clean.
I was there on business and the lighting was a little dim for working in the evenings. Would be perfectly fine for anything else and certainly wouldn't deter me from staying there again next time I'm in the area - I'll just try to finish updating my notes before it gets dark so I can relax a bit more.
There seemed to be a bit of an issue with the hot/cold water in the showers, though we may have been trying to use them all at once.
Shower, but it says they working on increasing the water pressure. Church bell ringing on the hour every hour all night, little annoying ! As had to close the window in the room and not great when it hot. The above did not ruin the holiday !.
Lack of WiFi. Chosen because of this advertised facility, but which was so intermittent as to be unusable, unfortunately. Hopefully this problem has now been successfully resolved.
Nothing.
Lack of prawns in the Linguini although it was very tasty.
Lack of toilet cleaning equipment
Lack of a standup shower which is understandable in an old building where water pressure might not be up to it.
the room we had was very cold no had to get into bed to keep warm, good thing we had a siesta.
Lack of car parking space, althoughthis is understandable considering the hotels position.
The room's essentials not replenished daily.
Sunday night dinner. They were overwhelmed by people coming to Dorset due to the fine weather and it took three hours for dinner as they were so busy.
The only downside is parking outside the hotel - it is limited so unless you arrive at the right time you have to find alternative parking.
Nothing except we had to come home!.
Church bells!!!
Limited parking - excellent if you can park out front.
Car parking was limited.
Cost of the drinks were excessive.
Evening meal menu very large but food lacked taste although reasonably priced.
WiFi not total coverage, some rooms no reception, but was a good fast connection where available.
steep staircase
bathroom was a bit tired - no stand up shower facility.
None.
None.
Bathroom No shower curtain! No "grab handle " at bath ! ( got
the message about hair wash - but plenty of power for full shower.) try
to "police" hair wash only !.
The room was small for 2 people and we felt that there should habe been a better shower. We understand the problems withwater pressure but the hand held shower head was loose. For the money it seemed overpriced.
rooms a bit stuffy (too hot)
evening meal was a lttle over elaborate.
1. The "Terms and conditions" letter I received by email. I don't need to be told how to behave myself. How about the hotel telling me what they guarantee to provide? (see below) I would have cancelled the booking on receiving this message except that a friend was also involved.
2. There is no facility to have a shower - water pressure problem. This should be made clear when booking.
3. No chair in my room. I asked but no result.
no towel rail near sink - no proper shower facilities - beer was awful.
Parking was outrageous-Bathroom dated no shower.
