Lo que la gente dice
The staff were amazing! So friendly and welcoming, although facilities were basic it was very clean and just what we needed! Breakfast was brilliant! Would definatly stay here again when visiting Stamford!.
The pub was very cosy and the staff were very helpful & friendly. The breakfast was great too - cereal, toast, tea and full English. It was basic but had everything that i needed.todo comentarios »
Comfortable room, friendly welcome. Good refreshment in room. Clean toilet/shower facilities. Ideal location for centre of town/petrol station! Easy parking.
Fantastic room - 2 great double beds. Value for money - good choice of beer.
Breakfast @ £6 is excellent value and cooked to order.
good friendly welcoming staff, good breakfast, good range of real ales in the bar, overall good value for money.
Extremely warm welcome, very handy for Burghley House, long opening hours in a most excellent pub!.

Clean. Good breakfast. Although it is a pub, no noise at night. Free wifi.
Real Ale, Recently re-furbished rooms & Breakfast was FIRST CLASS!.

Good pub. Very accommodating. Very good value.
The staff were fantastic, couldn't fault them.
Great atmosphere, lovely staff.
comfortable bed.
Friendly staff and very attentive. Room was clean and comfortable.
Full English Breakfast was first class.
Ideal if you are looking for a nights sleep on a budget.
Pleasant staff, good breakfast, new manager working to improve the standards, great selection of real ales, good location for town centre.
Location and friendly helpful staff.
Excellent breakfast for such a budget friendly B&B.
Inn has lots of character!!.
Staff were helpful given my slightly unusual requirements to store a bike and leave very early.
Atmosphere and friendliness of staff and locals. Close proximity to amenities and restaurants.
Just far enough away from the town centre. Everything is in walking distance.
Nice friendly owners, lovely pub downstairs, nice furniture in the bedroom.
location and price, although I did end up getting a refund.
Friendly, good value hotel and really good breakfast.
The staff were very helpful and excellent breakfast.
Nice bar, friendly staff, Good food & drink.
Staff very friendly, night above great pub...
Pleasant staff and very nice breakfast.
The breakfast was good.
Friendly staff.
Great breakfast.
The bar had a good selection of real ales. The break fast was okay but my vegetarian parents only got an omelette but would have been happier with the full english minus the meat but weren't offered that.
The food and breakfast were very good.
The breakfast was very good.
Very friendly staff .
Excellent location.
The room was a little cold and the duvet wasn't a winter duvet so i woke up cold in the night and needed a jumper as well as my pj's.
Shared facilities but with only 3 rooms this wasn't a problem for us.
could do with a bit of TLC apart from that it was fine.
Somewhat basic accommodation although cost does reflect this.
Room was very drafty although a heater was provided.
Low ceilings (hit my head once or twice) layout of the room could have been better to avoid this.
Horrible toilet smell in the corridor.
having to share A bathroom and toilet.
Threadbare.
That I could not stay longer but I will be back :).
TV didn't work. Light over sink didn't work. Couldn't eat outside food in the bar. Parking is difficult during check-in.
Some decorations due for update.
This was the cheapest place to stay in Stamford but if felt the £60 price tag was too high in comparison to other hotels that offer private bathrooms etc for less money.
shared bathroom.
No dedicated parking, decorative state of rooms (but manager is working on this so deserves to be cut some slack).
I would have liked a chair in my room and ensuite facilities.
It was just a little further away from Rutland Water than I wanted to be, given that was the focus of my stay.
Rooms were basic and in need of TLC. Parking was difficult due to limited spaces and a petrol garage opposite.
The steps up to the room on the top floor. Wouldn't have been too bothered but I currently have a bad knee.
Shared bathroom, decor upstairs, the stairs to the room where steep and twisting.
gave me the wrong keys so I couldn't get in the main door at 3am, had no way of getting in the building so had to find somewhere else to sleep over night, not easy at 3am.
Could do with a bit of work on internal decor to smarten things up a bit.
Pillows rather flat.
Bit run-down, worn carpets, etc.
Old building so access to rooms was a bit hair-raising. Low-ceilings, narrow stairs, no en-suite.
Share bathroom outside room, noisy from outside.
Lumpy bed and very basic decor in bedroom.
The booking form is very confusing and although we had booked 2 double rooms it turned out that we had booked them with single occupancy so had to pay extra on arrival. Why would we book 2 twin rooms for 2 people?.
Awkward stairs!.
Light above sink not working tv in room no signal.
The place needs an update and a good clean. There was live music playing til 12 midnight so no chance of sleeping before then. Quite a lot of traffic noise as windows weren't double glazed. My room was very warm. The shared toiled did not have a hand towel and the shared bathroom door did not have a lock. The doors bang quite a lot in the corridors. The bed was quite lumpy. The kettle was on the floor. The tv didn't work, tried tuning it but got nothing.
The room was very dull poor lighting no mirrors and the bed had seen better days and with a late night garage opposite it was very noisy.
The room was filthy & had not been vacuumed for some time. The UHT milk provided with tea was out of date. The mirror was lying on the floor and the wardrobe rail was broken. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and the shower door fell off the rail. The bath mats were filthy. There were cigarette butts on the roof outside the window and the room smelled of cigarette smoke.
The bedroom should have been a single room, Couldn't get round the bed. The room was not serviced in the 4 days that we were there.Well prepared breakfast but never piping hot. We were asked to pay on arrival. If we had seen the room first we would not have stayed.
The window had no latch so was open, meaning that the drunk people from
the pub could be heard until 4am. My room was opposite a 24-hour petrol
station which blazed light in through flimsy curtains. I had to leave
early and was told that no breakfast was available, with no attempt made
to lower my bill or recompense in any way. The room was small, bare and
thoughtless.
Unfortunatly at this point in time I do not think the Green man should be offering B&B accommodation. It fails on to many points, the rooms and facilities need updating to bring them in line with good B&B. It is a shame as I think this pub can offer far more than it does at present.
